James Woods Compares Woman Who Forced Ex to Have Sex at Knifepoint to Hillary Clinton Supporters

“Isn’t it time to let the Democratic Party move on from its Clintonite past, and to give someone else a go?”

In a Thursday tweet, actor and conservative firebrand James Woods compared supporters of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to a Montana woman who police say used a machete to force her ex-boyfriend to have sex with her in 2018.

“Woman handles breakup with ex by raping him at knifepoint and urinating on his bed. About as well as the average #Hillary supporter handled the 2016 election…” Woods tweeted to his more than 2 million followers.

Woods linked to a New York Post report on Samantha Ray Mears, a woman who was charged with aggravated burglary and assault with a weapon last year after police say she broke into an ex-boyfriend’s house while wielding a machete, demanded he remove his clothing, and forced him to have sex with her.

Mears held the machete throughout the sexual act, according to ABC affiliate KFBB. She reportedly bit the man when he tried to get her to stop, then resumed having sex with him.

After being found too mentally unstable to stand trial in July of 2018, Mears was committed to Montana State hospital, according to the Great Falls Tribune.

Conservatives have accused Clinton and her supporters with being unable to “let go” of her 2016 defeat to President Donald Trump.

“It’s been over 20 months since President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the historic election of November 2016, but the left will not let it go and it’s doing great damage to our country,” Republican operative David Bossie wrote in a July Fox News op-ed.

Even Trump-skeptical conservatives have criticized Clinton’s purported inability to move on from her 2016. Writing in The Daily Beast, hardly a bastion of conservative thought, political consultant Liz Mair accused Clinton of living in the past.

According to Mair, Clinton and the Democratic party want to “turn American politics into the new edition of Groundhog Day.”

“Isn’t it time to let the Democratic Party move on from its Clintonite past, and to give someone else a go?” she queried.
