YIKES! CensorTrack Hits New Milestone, Logs 4,000 Censorship Cases by Big Tech

MRC Free Speech America’s CensorTrack database hit another milestone as Big Tech continues its agenda to silence free speech online at a steady pace.

MRC Free Speech America has now logged 4,000 cases of censorship in MRC’s unique CensorTrack database. This includes censorship for both individuals and organisations across multiple Big Tech platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and TikTok-controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

MRC Free Speech America logged 3,500 censorship case in CensorTrack on March 21, 2022. That means CensorTrack logged its 500 latest cases in just three months.

There are many issues covered in the censorship logs, including abortion, race, election, COVID-19 and climate change. Every CensorTrack entry has been documented and clearly demonstrates bias censorship. Pro-life content and opinions that slap against the narratives of the leftist LGBTQ movement, in particular, have become central targets for Silicon Valley’s Big Tech giants.

It is now that the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the controversial 49-year old pro-abortion law Roe V. Wade (1973) ruling — after which 60 million preborn children have been killed — Americans should be wary. Big Tech’s out-of-control pro-abortion censorship campaign doesn’t show any signs of receding.

The self-appointed arbiters of “truth” online – Big Tech companies – targeted former President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), pro-life organizations Susan B. Anthony List and Students for Life of America, The Daily Wire hosts Ben Shapiro and Michael Knowles, The Babylon Bee’s Kyle Mann, The Heritage Foundation and Dr. Vladimir Zelenko.

Big Tech firms that favor abortion heavily restricted access to pro-life organizations and individuals. After the PoliticoPublished leak from the Dobbs v. JacksonU.S. Supreme Court draft ruling that suggested the demise of Roe V. Wade in addition to the public release of the official ruling which was overturned Roe It was about one month later.

TikTok had Susan B. Anthony (SBA), Pro-Life America censored. This was the worst case of censorship. After SBA posted a video celebrating SBA’s death, TikTok was tied to the CCP and suspended the account. Roe V. Wade. TikTok failed to provide an explanation for why the account had been suspended in the beginning. The CCP-controlled ByteDance was recently proven to be TikTok’s responsibility.

The platform had previously expelled Students for Life of America (MRC Free Speech Alliance) for numerous alleged violations of its Community Guidelines. TikTok then reversed the ban. The President of SFLA was the last video to be posted prior to this ban. Kristan HawkinsDebating abortion with a student in college

TikTok also censored the MRC’s own MRCTV. In an “on-the-street” video, MRCTV filmed the Bans Off Our Bodies protest in Washington, D.C. Video host Tierin Rose Mandelburg interviewed pro abortion activists and shared her reaction to it. TikTok deleted the video because it was alleged that the footage violated its Community Guidelines. Since March 21, 2022, MRC including all its divisions was censored 39 more times by Facebook, TikTok and Twitter.

MRC Free Speech America also recently tallied 156 instances of Big Tech censoring users who affirm science and oppose the left’s radical “transgender” narrative over 6 1/2 months in its CensorTrack database. That’s about five cases of Big Tech censoring biological facts every week. This is double the weekly censorship around the leftist “transgender” nonsense that MRC Free Speech America uncovered in a 2021 CensorTrack study.

Blackburn, Daily Wire commentator Matt Walsh and Tucker Carlson, Fox News host Tucker Carlson, popular Twitter account Libs of TikTok were among those censored by Facebook and Twitter for not parroting the left’s “transgender” narrative. Libs Of TikTok claimed that Twitter censored its account following it’s bashing of drag shows for children, and that the account only told MRC Free Speech America.

“The fact that these events are allowed to happen but we’re not allowed to report on it tells you everything you need to know about the purpose of drag shows and their desire for censorship.”

Other Big Tech companies joined Twitter’s and TikTok’s ranks in warring against free speech online.

Savanah Hernandez, podcaster, said that Instagram had removed her post regarding Big Tech censorship. According to purported screenshots she shared, the post was removed for allegedly violating the platform’s “Community Guidelines on hate speech or symbols.” Hernandez said Instagram later reinstated the post after she appealed the platform’s decision.

Big Tech is also continuing the wild election censorship that helped seal President Joe Biden’s path to the White House in 2020 in preparation for the 2022 midterms.

Facebook fact-checked Dan Bongino’s post about filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza’s “2000 Mules” documentary. Bongino shared a link to D’Souza’s page promoting the documentary. Facebook slapped the post with a fact-check notice, claiming the post contained “partly false information.” Then-vice president of integrity at Facebook Guy Rosen stated that Facebook “reduce[s] the distribution” of fact-checked posts rated as “false.”
