Yesterday’s testimony by a minor staffer who claimed she heard all sorts of salacious details — like Trump fought with Secret Service for the steering wheel — struck me, in the moment, as absurd. It was all before everything exploded, with nearly everyone disputing the fact that she ever claimed to have heard.
Liz Cheney, the J6 Committee, and their absurdistic performances have long been part of an entertainment of the absurd. But yesterday was the best. Cheney, along with the Star Chamber members had known facts that were in dispute with Hutchinson’s claims. But she allowed Hutchinson to continue telling lies as if it was her fault.
Liz, Daddy would be proud. The Cheneys are known for shooting one thing, but blasting another. You’re a joke, Liz.
