The Chicago Teachers Union Can Go Straight To Hell – Opinion

Yes, this headline seems harsh. This headline makes me feel shameful. It makes me think of what my pastor might have to say about these utterances. I feel an underlying guilt. Yes, I feel ungrateful. I also recognize that I need to repent.

I also feel tired…and angry…and great sadness for the children of Chicago. The union cabal is not being defeated by reason. It’s time for some brutal honesty, and honestly speaking, the Chicago Teachers Union is nothing more than the mafia dressed up as an advocacy group. The difference is that the traditional mafia didn’t take hits out on children; that was the one group of people that were off limits, because even the traditional mafia has some type of principle. Teachers unions lack any principles. To satisfy their greed, they will take over entire generations.

These criminals voted in the dead of night – on a school night – to cancel classes…immediately. The news that no school would be available for their children Wednesday morning shocked unsuspecting parents. This was one gut-wrenching news. All the best for the New Year.

These are the only explanations. Parents who are already going through hell trying keep their children’s learning progression while trying to figure out what to do at work will find no explanation. Their young children. Some parents have made the difficult decision to let their kids go home while union shills tell them how their students are important to them.

These people are liars, they are greedy and it’s time to call out teachers unions for what they are…wicked money laundering enterprises. Both educationally as well as socially, remote learning is a complete disaster. It is impossible to find any other metrics. Remote learning is more dangerous for students than COVID. This union sells it as a safety precaution for children. But anyone with half of a brain will see that children in no danger have ever been there. Teachers who feel they are at serious risk of their own health have the right to look for other jobs. Children are not obligated to take their health out of consideration for their teachers’. Children are now responsible for their teachers’ health through the unions. It is unfair to put that burden on children, and it will have long-lasting consequences.

These swamp monsters didn’t even have the decency to end education in the light of day. This is all there is to it. That union statement was just the latest insult.

“Let us be clear. The educators of this city want to be in their classrooms with their students.”

Sorry for my terrible English. If you wanted to be in the classroom, that’s where you’d be. The mayor has also said it, a man who is no stranger to COVID fascism.

“We believe that our city’s classrooms are where our students should be. Regrettably, the Mayor and her CPS leadership have put the safety and vibrancy of our students and their educators in jeopardy.”

Again, if you believed the kids should be in the classroom, you’d all be there right now. What is regrettable is is the lie that the CTU cares one iota for the “vibrancy” of their students. Are they aware of the rising suicide rate among children in school? Wow! “Vibrancy” is exactly what their antics have robbed our youth of for the past two years.

“To the parents and guardians of this city, we want you to know that when you put your children in our care we put their well-being and safety first. We fight for your children like they are our own, because they are.”

A)That’s creepy…B) You damn well do not consider the children of Chicago “your own” because if you did, they’d be in class, getting the education the taxpayers’ $27,000 per student, per year purchases.

“As this pandemic continues, we will do everything in our power to ensure that our classrooms are the safest and healthiest places for your children to learn, thrive and grow.”

Nobody is growing. There is no one growing. Chicago made every effort to keep classrooms as safe as they can be. Outside of encasing every building and every student in plastic bubble wrap from here to eternity, there is no more “safety” to be meted out. There are risks in life, children can get sick, and schools have flu season. You can either deal with it, or you can quit.

“We also understand the frustration that is felt by tonight’s decision, and assure our families that we will continue to work diligently, as we have for months, to encourage the Mayor and her CPS leadership team to at last commit to enforceable safety protections centered on the well-being of our students, their families and our school communities.”

This is a big deal. They’re not going to continue to work diligently to educate your children, or hear your concerns, or deliver on their obligations. They’re going to “work diligently” to bully the Mayor.

The average Chicago teacher’s salary is $80,000/yr. The average Chicago teacher is currently on their third consecutive week off paid vacation. Hospitalizations and COVID deaths continue to fall. Omicron has been shown to not be much more than a common cold. Schools should not be closed at this time. This madness will continue if parents don’t demand that it stop immediately. The flu and cold season won’t end unless this is stopped. We will just count COVID as yet another type of flu if everything about viruses and how they transmit is true.

Of course, they don’t want that. Mayor Lightfoot said that they were politicizing the virus to their personal advantage.

Quit teaching if you are uncomfortable in the classroom. Your job is not yours. If your union is not in agreement with you and you still wish to work in the classroom, then go there. Teaching does not require you to be a member of your union. This is the law. Ask the Supreme Court. I don’t want to hear one more teacher complain about not being in agreement with their union and feeling helpless. Get involved!

It is selfishness. This is criminal. This is criminal. This is what the Chicago Teachers Union, and all similar unions can do to children.
