Josh Hawley Trolls Biden on ‘How to Unite the Country’ in Possible SCOTUS Battle Preview – Opinion

According to our previous reports, Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sent a warning to President Biden Thursday in response to the news of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s retirement, news that was leaked (likely be an eager leftist court snitch) before Breyer was ready to make the announcement himself.

To quickly recap, McConnell reminded Biden that the Senate was divided 50/50 which in McConnell’s view is proof that the American people didn’t give Biden much of a mandate on anything, much less on nominating a radical leftist to sit on the nation’s highest court.

“The American people elected a Senate that is evenly split at 50-50. To the degree that President Biden received a mandate, it was to govern from the middle, steward our institutions, and unite America,” McConnell stated. “The President must not outsource this important decision to the radical left. The American people deserve a nominee with demonstrated reverence for the written text of our laws and our Constitution.”

Breyer announced that he was retiring from the SCOTUS presidency at the conclusion of the term. Biden stated that he will fulfill his campaign promise to hard-left voters by nominating an unnamed black woman.

Though speculation has run rampant, Republicans in the Senate are anticipating that Biden’s choice will be a “woke” jurist who views the Constitution as a “living document.” And as McConnell indicated, Republicans are responding accordingly.

In the same vein that McConnell referenced “uniting America” in his remarks and with the thought in mind that Biden has pledged to nominate a black woman, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) Biden urged former D.C. Judge Janice Rogers Brown to be nominated by Biden, giving a glimpse of what may have been in store for Senate Democrats and Biden during the upcoming SCOTUS confirmation fight. Circuit Court Judge Janice Rogers Brown. She suggested that it would unify the country and rectify the injustices she suffered from Biden’s filibuster. For two yearsShe was not confirmed as a judge on the circuit court until June 2005.

We wrote earlier about Biden’s joining in on the filibuster of Brown (who is now retired) and how he actually invoked former KKK member turned Sen. Robert Byrd (D) when justifying his party’s continued use of what they now call a “Jim Crow relic” to stall her nomination.

In addition to the above strategic suggestion by Hawley came this message, which sent another signal to the Biden administration that they shouldn’t expect Senate Republicans to roll over and play nice just because Biden will be nominating a minority candidate:

Hawley is also made clear that part of the likely Republican strategy will be to repeatedly remind people of how Joe Biden was the architect of the modern-day “high-tech lynching” of GOP Supreme Court nominees and tried to torpedo the nomination of Clarence Thomas, which won’t sway wokesters on the left but could hold weight with independent voters who will be watching how all of this plays out.

Democrats are foaming at the mouth in thinking this fight and GOP Senators lining up to “oppose a black woman” will be just what they need to get them back in the game come the upcoming midterm elections. But from the sounds of things, Republicans in the Senate have a few solid tricks up their sleeve that they’ll use to try to nuke the inevitable “raaaaacism!” talking points we know are coming when the questioning starts.

Buckle up, y’all. It’s going to be a wild ride.
