Guess Who Snopes Tagged ‘Mostly False’ When Kamala Linked 1/6 with 9/11 and Pearl Harbor

Kamala Harris, Vice President of America, began her address marking one year since the Jan 6th riot by drawing comparisons to Pearl Harbor or 9/11. “Uncertain dates echo through history. These dates include dates that instantly recall for those who were there when the democracy fell apart. They are dates that not only have a spot on our calendars; but they also have a permanent place in our collective memories.  The dates December 7, 1941, September 11, 2001 and January 6, 2021 are all included in this list.

It was foolish of me to think that the fact-checkers would not be interested in this little snippet. New York Post notice:

Snopes.com did indeed notice …. and issued a “Mostly False” to conservative Todd Starnes for claiming that 1/6 was worse than 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. The leftist was not fact checked. They checked the conservative. Snopes Hack Dan McGuill stated it like this:

Though some observers might object to Harris’s even mentioning the Capitol attack in the same breath Pear [sic] Harbor and 9/11, it is simply inaccurate to claim that she said, or even implied, that Jan. 6 was, by some unspecified measure, “worse than” those two earlier infamous days. She did not, and we are issuing a rating of “Mostly False.”

Fact checkers aren’t concerned about Kamala being cocky with her math on this point.

“December 7, 1941: 2,300 Americans killed. September 11, 2001: 3,000 Americans killed. January 6, 2021: 1 American killed (Ashli Babbitt),” commentator Ben Shapiro tweeted.

Kamala’s clip made it through conservative media including Tucker Carlson’s Smackdown.

Biden’s speech was included, where he stated that the “Rioters were rampaging.” Waving the Confederate flag for the first-time inside the CapitolThis symbolised the need to demolish America and tear it apart. This never happened during the Civil War.  However, it did occur here in 2021.
