CNN is another source of J-6 misinformation. Another example.
As CNN continues to reel from the departure of Jeff Zucker, the network is also continuing with another practice – serving as the accomplice with members of the January Six Commission investigating the Capitol Riot. One of the unintended offshoots of the Zucker debacle was a curious admission made by one of the network’s entrenched Washington fixtures, correspondent Jamie Gangel, immediately after his firing. Gangel let slip that members of Congress had reached out to her to express their dismay at Zucker’s demise.
This unintentional admission prompts us to examine CNN reports, and we see clear evidence of collusion with this committee. A recent article demonstrates this. It is easy to see why the headline calls for questions. Exclusive: Recorded conversations between Trump and Jim Jordan on the morning of January 6, are now available. The Supreme Court ruling that White House archives are not subject to executive privilege meant that the White House recently acquired a trove of documents which the commission could send over to Congress.
This information is new and has not been reported by the Commission. This information was not available to CNN. EXCLUSIVE? With investigators through its friendly backchannel. CNN is seen by investigators as a compliant media outlet, ready to print aggressive headlines from leaks. It follows the same pattern perfectly: an arresting headline and extensive prose that insinuates nefarious activities, while ultimately providing little to no news.
It is true that the report shows Jordan and Trump had spoken on January 6. And…??? Uh, well, that is assumed to be bad…for some reason.
CNN claims that these call logs help to improve the efficiency of the committee., “try to build a complete narrative of what happened that day.”But, this long report does not contain any evidence that Trump or Jordan said anything concerning the investigation. Jordan denies these calls and has stated publicly that he spoke with Trump on that date. This is what the CNN report says.
Insinuation. Four reporters, 1,400 words and four journalists were required to tell you that Jim Jordan called Donald Trump several times on January 6. The rest is empty. Rest of the article is about what the committee wants and what this could all mean. However, nothing is even close to substance.
This is typical of the reporting we have seen from the committee’s efforts since it was formed. Recall the recent revelation that Fox News pundits called the White House as the riot was taking place – the headlines screamed about the conversations, but the calls by everyone involved to have it brought to an end undermined the entire narrative that the riot on the Capitol was an orchestrated GOP plot. CNN provides as important and severe details as possible, although there are very few substantive details.
They lied to themselves that they were bi-partisan journalists. This hyper-partisan hypocrisy is now more well-known with all the scandals that continue to emanate from Atlanta. The network was exposed whenever it attracted negative attention. This also prompted them to inspect their reporting. It led to the obvious agenda of CNN. Another factor in this exposure has been the response of many CNN personalities to Zucker’s abrupt exit.
CNN veteran Jamie Gangel’s reaction to news clearly was fueled by emotion. However, it does expose some of the details behind the story. Bonchie covered Gangel’s responseIn a conference call, she spoke out against Zucker’s ouster during Warner Media’s top executives. Jason Kilar from Warners assured staffers that CNN would maintain its journalistic trajectory. Gangel did not listen to his words. Then, he made a strange declaration.
Gangel said she received calls from four members of the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol “who felt devastated for our democracy” now that Zucker has exited CNN.
This is an excellent serving of humor. We are supposed to believe Zucker was serving as a bulwark of preservation of democracy, the man who is on record as having pledged to do all he can to bring down a duly elected president, doing so by promoting a lie about Russian collusion on his network spanning the entirety of Trump’s term in office. It is like saying that an arsonist wanted to safeguard the integrity and health of the house against the danger of black mold.
Gangel stated that Gangel and the committee work together. Many committee members would have reached Gangel directly to voice their grief at the loss of Zucker. But, they could not be operating in the assumption that Zucker was helping the committee deliver targeted messages through his network. A dispatch by Gangel, two days after Zucker was made a pariah, further exposes this relationship. With Wolf Blitzer on The Situation RoomShe makes another very serious announcement about the committee’s work, which she did last Monday.
Marc Short, a fact witness firsthand, is something I believe it is important to remind everyone.@jamiegangelGet exclusive news about January 6th testimony of the former Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff. pic.twitter.com/4DrmvQ6p8Y

Gangel arrives with “exclusive new reporting” that shows the committee spoke with the chief of staff to Mike Pence. Gangel stresses that Marc Short was subpoenaed, as were his documents, and that she needs to stress that he is considered a “firsthand fact witness.” Great stuff – and?
“For the record, the committee declined to comment about this story, and I reached out to Marc Short and he also declined to comment”
You are so kind! Exclusive new reporting About someone she describes as A critical witness adds up to nothing more than – the committee spoke to him. The same kind of reporting that we’ve seen about the committee is repeated here. It is clear that they always have important findings from this very serious investigation. This is an effort to safeguard the very integrity and independence of our democracy. We have to imagine that one day they’ll find something that actually moves the needle.
CNN is still operating in the exact same fashion as it was ridiculed, and will keep delivering these bombshell stories while they don’t actually explode.
