Washington Post Editor Lambasted After Boasting About Going Full Mask Karen – Opinion

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: These people just can’t help themselves. In the latest iteration of “Leftist Virtue Signals On Twitter,” Ruth Marcus, a deputy editorial page editor for the Washington PostShe decided to use Twitter to post a bad encounter she had with an elevator man who was wearing a mask.

Twitter:

Madison, Wis. The elevator stops at the lower floor. Unmasked, a man steps in. Sign in elevator says masks required. Me, getting out: “you know, it would be really nice if you wore a mask.” Man: “I don’t care what you think.” America 2021.

She went on:

It’s a rule, a county rule. “Face coverings are required among people ages two and older when in any enclosed space open to the public where other people, except for members of the person’s own household or living unit, are present.”

The editor received a scathing and well-deserved mockery after engaging in Karenous behaviour and posting the information on the internet. Oddly enough, if one does a search of her tweets, you can’t find a single one calling out the slew of Democratic politicians who have flouted their own mask mandates with impunity.

Ruth Marcus did not have any comments to make about California’s governor. Gavin Newsom’s disregard for mask mandates. No tweets have been made shaming London Breed, San Francisco Mayor, for not wearing masks indoors. Austin Mayor Steve Adler has been criticized by her, but she isn’t speaking out about it. He made a video warning Austinites against traveling to Mexico while on vacation. She didn’t mention these people or other Democrats that ignored the mask mandates. You can trust me.

As I’ve said previously, the way you can tell if a person actually believes in the principles they claim to embrace is by seeing if they will apply said principles when it does not benefit them or their political team. Although she was willing to criticize the man in her tale, she did not have any comments to make about other leftists who had shown they didn’t consider the mask issue serious.

To be fair, we don’t know the political affiliation of the man in the elevator, but his response does give us more than a small hint, right? However, it is important to recognize that if someone doesn’t follow their core principles, we shouldn’t assume they are truly committed. Marcus is like her fellow leftist activists, a hacker and unprincipled.
