Univision once more proved that ex-President Donald Trump is rent-free inside his head. This time, the network gleefully reported that Trump was booed by “his own followers” for saying that he got the COVID-19 booster shot during a live Dallas interview with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
Univision anchor Eliangélica González followed the lead in a sneering take of the moment where she focused, not on the Trump administration´s role in developing three COVID-19 vaccines in record time- but on misrepresenting what Trump actually told the Wall Street Journal in September regarding a future booster, and implying that he is vaccine hesitant. Watch:
ELIANGELICA GONZALEZ – In Dallas, an ex-President Donald Trump received the COVID 19 vaccine booster. Trump said that he didn’t think he would get the booster shot, and that his health was good.
Trump’s admission that he was fully vaccinated shows that a media corps serving Joe Biden is more like a Leni Riefenstahl propaganda unit. Furthermore, what Trump did tell The Wall Street Journal back in September, was that he “probably” would not get a booster shot but that It was his opinion, not his.. As far as Univision´s audience goes, they will never know since Gonzalez left that part out of her quick report.
For the record, this is part of what Trump told the audience during Sunday´s final leg of his “History Tour” in Dallas, and that would’ve provided critical context to Univision’s report:
“Look! We did something historical. Our efforts saved the lives of many millions around the world. Together, everyone — not me but we — all got three vaccines and amazing therapeutics. The country was about to be ravaged beyond its current state. Give credit. Give credit to them. It’s not ours to take away.”
Concerning vaccines, former President said that “if you don’t wish to take them, then you shouldn’t have to.” There are no mandates. Take credit for saving tens to millions of people’s lives. Don’t forget to take credit. They can’t take it away.
