Ultimate Disrespect When Kelly Ernby’s Death Is Used to Fight About COVID – Opinion

Kelly Ernby was an activist for grassroots conservatives and Orange County deputy DA. She died several weeks ago from complications attributed to COVID. The shock reverberated through the Orange County conservative community as one of the GOP’s beloved rising stars, a kind-hearted 46-year-old blonde with a beautiful smile, passed prematurely.

Opportunistic Republicans jumped out at the media just hours after she died, pretending to be best friends. They also provided unverified accounts, alleging that the death was caused by COVID complications.

That tweet is questionable. It’s not wise to immediately release that information without providing specific details. She also had a history of advocating against vaccines. I think at that point you’re just inviting a circus for political point-scoring, just hours after someone you supposedly care about passed.

The left was bombarded with giddy political partisans, who attacked her last Christmas post. They wished her mother all the best in Heaven. Also attacked was her grieving husband’s page, calling his wife’s death “Darwinism” and cheering her passing, just because her politics were not in line with theirs. Even the LA Times thought this was disgusting.

The actions taken by both parties are unacceptable to me. Kelly had just lost her mother a few short weeks prior to her death. She had been worked to the bone by her own political party, who gave her promises but didn’t fulfill them. This is typical of the GOP in the area, who has been desperate for young talent and workers. They promised Kelly endorsements, but she ultimately passed on Kelly to fulfill the demands of others.

She died probably from a mix of sadness, exhaustion, grief and despair. As far as her pre-existing condition goes, it is unknown what she was experiencing and that should be known.  Or be broadcasting info on her medical condition for the world even after she’s passed. HIPAA doesn’t apply to you. It is a poor form. This is a poor form.

In order to advance their agenda, the rabid side which wants all people to be vaccinated seized advantage of limited information. To put it another way, the childish gloating of many people was simply not human.

Melissa Snow, who worked closely with Kelly as the OCGOP Precinct City Chair for Ladera Ranch says, “I was stunned when I received a call that Kelly had passed away. The phone call brought back terrible memories from the year that I lost my son. This pain was immense. It made me angry and disappointed at the media abuses, as well as the exploitative behavior of both parties.  Kelly was an amazing soul and deserved peaceful rest. Kelly expects unity, and not division. We are moving forward in her honor.”

What’s the net effect of all these deplorable actions from those who are political? The unneeded stress can cause grief in the spouse or family, and make it even worse for them.

You might also ask, “Is this Kelly’s wish?” It is comforting to know that Kelly is now with her mother and that she does not need to listen to the nonsense of those who claim to be her friend and the hateful leftist partisans within the community. Your daughter, spouse, and community pillar, Rest in Peace. All who feel you most deeply are offered healing and peace.
