Welcome to TV’s Worst of the Week, where MRC Culture’s on TV Blog recounts the top liberal bias moments in entertainment television for the week of October 3, 2021.

• Hollywood’s hatred of Brett Kavanaugh still runs so hot that FX’s American Crime Story: Impeachment seemingly went out of its way to have a young Kavanaugh say, “I never like to take ‘no’ for an answer…” to keep the false narrative alive that the Supreme Court Justice is a sexual predator. Also, the actor playing Kavanaugh tweeted, “Brett! If you’re reading this, get fucked!”

• FX on Hulu’s Y: The Last Man had a particularly offensive scene in which a scientist fed communion bread (it’s unclear if it was consecrated) to a monkey while mocking the Eucharist.

• ABC’s Roseanne Spinoff Conners aimed digs at Christianity and marriage as a pastor advised Darlene to look outside the church to find a path of spiritual guidance “that works for [her],” while another character claimed marriage is “an institution created to oppress” women.

• Paramount+’s The evilA supernatural story about a priest-in-training who investigates demonic possessions and aids with exorcisms. It was based on a past priest’s attempt to convince him to abandon the Catholic Church. “spiritual attack” from “redlinings, from student loans, from police shootings.”

• CBS sitcom The Neighborhood had a woke white woman pretending to be black for career advancement à la Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). She claimed to be “culturally fluid,” echoing Rachel Dolezal calling herself “transracial” (like transgender).

• There were two bright spots this past week. One was CBS’s Blue Bloods, which told the real “reason crime is rising” in NYC: anti-cop sentiment and defund the police sympathies. CBS also aired the sitcom. United States of Al covered the tragedy of Biden’s incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan long after the news side had abandoned the story.
