Reporting Sunday was on the controversial mask issue surrounding Stacey Abrams (failed 2018 Georgia Democratic governor-nominee), who, during Friday’s visit to Glennwood Elementary school in Decatur, was captured in a photograph shared to her twitter page looking maskless before what seemed to be either an auditorium or a gymnasium that contained masked kids.
If you missed the photo that was deleted, it’s here. It also includes a few others showing her being maskless while taking photos with a masked administrator at school and speaking on the podium.
Have a feeling this photo—which Abrams promoted on her own account—of her appearing maskless surrounded by kids in masks is gonna be in a lot of ads this fall. pic.twitter.com/gYtDOMGTeK

The photo of Abrams with the children sparked controversy for obvious reasons, namely that even being a low risk that they would be forced to wear masks while Abrams – who is fully vaccinated – had hers off.
Abrams’ 2022 gubernatorial campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo, who sounds like a graduate of Wokeville University, first made matters worse by dodging in a pitiful, unprofessional “raaacism” response which invoked Black History Month and completely dodged the issue. It got worse after Groh Wargo. tweeted – and it was also reported by local news outlets – that Abrams specifically demanded that everyone around her remain maskless so she could take hers off.
Despite Abrams being criticized by her supporters, national media outlets seem to be ready for a resolution. They must protect the Democrat regardless of what. But Outkick.com has done what they won’t in following up on the story, obtaining more pictures that give the impression that Abrams may have spent the entire event without a mask:

COVID seems to make exceptions for those who take photos or speak on podiums.
Though Abrams’ campaign has called criticisms of her actions “shameful” and “pathetic” what’s actually shameful and pathetic here is the continued “rules for thee but not for me” mentality of self-righteous Democrats like Abrams, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, President Biden and other individuals who clearly believe the rules are only for others.
Democrats have spent the last two years blaming Republicans for the defiance shown by the public on mask mandates, but there’s a little something called “lead” by example – and if people see the political party routinely not practicing what they preach on CDC guidelines and mask/vaccine mandates, at some point even their own followers are going to start rejecting the mask theater and will commence in doing their own thing, which is a lot of what we’re seeing right now across the country with even the most ardently faithful starting to raise questions about the supposed “need” for mask mandates.
