S.E. Cupp is a CNN employee, and she spends almost every day complaining that any opposition to the left-leaning agenda is an attack on democracy. Yet she had the audacity to claim that one Fox News host laughing at infighting between Democrats means the right “wants to see disarray in America” and “two Americas.”
Cupp was at the time experiencing intense reactions while on her own.Day of the New, Tuesday. Co-host Brianna Keilar played a one small excerpt of something FNC’s Jesse Watters said yesterday on The Five.
Introducing the clip, she played Watters: “I work at Fox! You should see the disarray to the left. It is good for America. It’s good for our ratings,” he touted as the Fox panel laughed.
Watters’ quip wasn’t the only part of an entire segment that featured MSNBC analysts and progressive Democrat strategists complaining about Joe Biden’s low polling and griping that he is not providing enough support for the far-left wing. Here’s the rest of what Watters said [click “expand”]:
[I]If I were a squad member, I would like federalizing elections and socialized medicine. I also want tax increases, gun grabbing, and the green deal. Joe Manchin and the Constitution have prevented Joe Manchin from giving me the information I need. But he has met them halfway, he’s given them open borders and reckless spending. But they aren’t happy. They are determined to have 100% control of your life. They will take complete control of your life. We know the pain of being in a relationship with someone like this, and many people in the audience will have been there. Joe Biden is my friend. No. Fox is my employer. The left should be in disarray. This is good for America. It improves our ratings. This guy should be primaried by wealthy liberals and crazy liberals so they can reach the threshold to explode the debate. He will then have to argue with communists over whether or not they are going to finance solar-paneled slavery reparations.
Cupp had an explosive response. He claimed that FNC’s host really meant to say that Cupp wanted America disorganized and two Americas where one is righteous and the other needs to be extricated. Does that sound like what CNN is trying to do? The same news agency that tries to ruin every day people’s lives by their politics, calls Republican voters domestic terrorists white supremacists, and obsesses about January 6 daily.
The CNN commentator, however, seemed to project Fox’s hatred on CNN.
It’s the quieter part. The quiet part was what he said. Jesse Watters is a scholar was something that I wouldn’t have considered. He did however articulate what I consider to be the third pillar of American new right. The first, however, is that America has two Americas and not just one. He speaks about wanting to see disorder on the left like it’s not also wanting to view disarray in America. This is not only in a political group, but in real life. This is because the United States of America on the left is no longer the United States. There are two Americas. One is just. It is necessary to have one’s rights recognized.
The cruelty is number two, isn’t it? They are looking for the suffering and disarray. They would rather see people such as Joe Biden or AOC and Pelosi, and the liberals suffer. They aren’t interested in changing minds or hearts with new ideas. Because the cruelty is what they are after, they need to be able to see it. Third, ratings are more important than anything else. Fox has this same sentiment. Fox is a place where ratings seem to have overtaken public health and safety as well as facts. However, this also holds true for the attention-based economy that has truly gripped the left, such people being Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene or Lauren Boebert. It is important to get attention.

BRIANNA KEILAR : This is a Fox host speaking live to the audience.
JESSE WATERS: Fox is my job! [laughter]Disarray should be on the right. This is good for America. It is good for the ratings.
KEILAR : CNN Political Commentator S.E. joins us now Cupp. Cupp.
S.E. CUPP:It’s the quieter part. The quiet part was what he said. Jesse Watters is a scholar was something that I wouldn’t have considered. But, what Jesse Watters did was a great example of how to articulate the three core principles of American rights. The first, however, is that America has two Americas and not just one. He speaks about wanting to see disorder on the left like it’s not also wanting to view disarray in America. Not just for a political party but to feel real pain on the streets. This is because the United States of America on the left is no longer the United States. There are two Americas. One is just. It is necessary to have one’s rights recognized.
The cruelty is number two, isn’t it? They are looking for the suffering and disarray. They don’t want liberals, Joe Biden and AOC to be in pain. They aren’t interested in changing minds or hearts with new ideas. Because they see cruelty, they want the pain. Third, ratings are more important than anything else. Fox has this same sentiment. While ratings may have trumped public safety and health, and other facts as well, it’s also true for the attention economy, which has gripped the right. This is the case, not only with Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Lauren Boebert. It is important to get attention.
