Russian Negotiator Brags About What Iran Got in New Deal as Biden Sells Us Down River Again – Opinion

I’m not sure anyone could have done worse than Joe Biden has done in office so far.

My writing the other day stated that Biden was getting close to signing a deal with Iran that is allegedly reprehensible and could threaten our security. We also reported how former State Department official Gabriel Noronha was warning about what was to come in the deal to see if Congress could stop what he called the “capitulation.” Noronha said the deal was “much, much worse than the original.” He said three top diplomats had quit over what the Biden Administration negotiator Robert Malley was doing, that these were career staff or Biden appointees, so that tells you how awful it must be.

Noronha, who worked on Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s Iran Action Group said:

Numerous career officials see these capitulations to be so damaging to U.S. National Security that they approached me asking that I share these details quickly with Congress, the public and in an attempt to stop them. [….]

However, this is what I see: This Vienna agreement is dangerous to U.S. National Security, the stability of the Middle East and the Iranian people, who have suffered the most from that oppressive regime. There is no evidence that the U.S. should be removed from sanctions. The deal will not be approved by Congress and will therefore be illegal. It will serve no U.S. national interest, either in the near or long term.

A lot of the sanctions on some of the “worst terrorists and torturers” and the IRGC are going to be lifted, according to Noronha. So not only will Iran have a path to a nuclear weapon but they’ll have everything they want, all courtesy of Joe Biden.

Now there’s more indication of just how bad that might be. As we noted, while Biden is claiming they’re cutting the Russians off, the Russians and the Chinese are both involved in the new Iran Deal. Mikhail Ulyanov (the Russian negotiator), is now claiming that Tehran received more in the deal than was expected.

“Iranian colleagues are fighting for [their] national interest like lions,” Russian diplomat Mikhail Ulyanov said in a video interview posted online by Polaris NatSec. “They fight for every comma, every word, and as a rule, quite successfully.” [….]

Ulyanov praises the Chinese for their part in negotiations, and says they cooperated well with Russia throughout the process.

“I am absolutely sincere in this regard when I say that Iran got much more than it could expect,” he said. “Our Chinese friends were also very efficient and useful as co-negotiators.”

“I can recollect dozens of such cases when on rather serious, significant questions, we managed together to get positive results close to what we wanted to achieve,” he added.

Ulyanov would probably want to spread propaganda about the deal. But he’s so assured they’ve aced everything, he’s bragging about it before the deal is even agreed to. Unfortunately, what he’s saying also tailors with what Noronha was warning about — that the Iranians are getting everything they want. They are also receiving more money. They are effectively getting a lot of cash to keep the mullahs in power if they get what they primarily want — the lifting of sanctions.

Meanwhile, the world is so focused on Ukraine that Biden may just slip this by everyone if Congress doesn’t call this out and do all they can against it.
