PBS Anchor Coddles Kamala on ‘Very Forceful’ 1/6 Speech, Wants Trump Prosecuted for Riot

Kamala Harris, Vice President of Kamala Harris made a shameless attempt to make a comparison between the Capitol Riot and Pearl Harbor or 9-11 on January 6. Judy Woodruff interviewed her later that day on the PBS NewsHour,Who asked nothing at all about this rhetoric. Instead, Woodward complained to Harris about election lies and poor attitudes and “deep polarization” — as if the media have no role in all this. Then she started with 1/6 softballs.

WOODRUFF: One year ago, this is the anniversary of the attack on the Capitol. You, President Biden are speaking very strongly about the necessity to rectify the liesThere is much to be learned about the events and former President Trump should be held accountable. We know that these lies are only beginning to settle in a year later. We are not sure why you believe that the attitudes remain unchanged after all these years.

….But today just as many, if no more, people believe lies about what actually happened. This deep polarization will continue for years. What is to stop it?

…. Do you think that the January 6 House committee will investigate the underlying causes of the alleged incidents?

Woodruff rejoiced Liz Cheney’s decision to hold Trump responsible for the Capitol riot. He “summoned a mob, assembled it, and lit that flame of attack” — then asked, “Is she correct?” Then Woodruff suggested (as a flock of “objective” journalists have) that Trump should face criminal prosecution: “If that’s the case, then This does not mean that a criminal investigation will be considered.

This is the exact opposite of how she repeatedly shamed Mike Pence at the GOP convention in 2016, that “lock her up” talk was too vicious. This is not like “lock Trump up.”

From the stage, and from the delegates, the talk at the convention wasHillary Clinton has been subject to some very harsh criticisms. It has been said, “Lock her Up.” We heard it. The signs that said “Hillary to Prison” were visible. Talk of her …. indictment. Is it too extreme, or do you agree with some Republicans?

Woodruff was mildly skeptical about the efficacy of Biden in “shutting Down” the coronavirus. The administration was supposed to bring things back on track. We are here a year later. The fourth wave is here. We don’t have enough tests.

This was nothing like Vice President Pence’s interview on April 17, 2020, where Woodruff suggested Trump’s happy talk caused unnecessary deaths: “the president did stop travel to the U.S. on January 30. He said that the U.S. was in a great place for many days, and weeks, after this interview. He said — he assured Americans everything is OK. Do you know how many people have died? Because of this delay, the administration has not yet taken action.

It PBS NewsHour…. you, whether it’s your choice or not. And Fidelity.
