Brian Stelter, angered by Jeff Zucker’s firing, is outraged that anybody thinks CNN has more opinion than it does news.
CNBC interviewed John Malone from Discovery Networks, a Discovery Networks investor. Malone praised Fox’s “exceptional” performance. Special ReportBrit Hume, Bret Baier and I then stated that we would love to see CNN return to the type of journalism it began with, as well as having journalists. This would be exciting and refreshing.
People who claim we lack journalism say that CNN has become an all-talk channel. We’ve lost our way. Jeff Zucker was the one that led us off track. They aren’t even watching CNN. They aren’t watching CNN. They are watching other stations that make complaints about CNN, but don’t really know much about it. NewsBusters is a news site that monitors CNN and exposes its rampant editorializing.
Stelter was so angry he swore in the middle of his podcast: “this bullshit on Fox about CNN failing in the ratings, and that’s why Zucker was pushed out and I think that’s nuts ….yeah CNN’s at a low point right now, because were at a low point in the news cycle.” [??]
