MSNBC: Secrecy of FBI’s Trump Raid as Tight as Bin Laden Raid By SEALs

Incendiary and impotent comments have been made about the FBI’s Monday night raid at Mar-a-Lago. Clint Watts (MSNBC’s national security analyst) suggested that the secrecy surrounding this raid was comparable to the Navy SEAL raid which killed Osama be Laden. The network also lamented that this was a distraction from Biden’s “big legislative wins” this week.

Shortly before lunchtime, host Aaron Gilchrist noted that “we heard from local officials that they didn’t have any prior knowledge about a search happening at Mar-a-Lago.” He looked to Watts and wondered “How closely held would this have been? Exceptionally so, or sort of in a standard way?”

Watts claims that “I would say second only to the bin Laden raid if I had to guess.”He suggested that it was something the FBI would do. “rehearsed”You can prepare contingencies to:

It’s possible that they didn’t allow anyone to be present except for a few people. They probably planned the scenes and how they would react to it.

You know that search warrants are sometimes wrong. This means people may not understand the facts. This is not the first time we have seen such a confrontational president. They came in prepared, so I imagine.

“So, in terms of who knew and how many, I would say a very select group of people knew and they kept it probably tighter than just about anything in the history of the Department of Justice,”He added.

MSNBC will have you believe that an FBI agent called the Secret Service beforehand, driven up in some SUVs with some boxes, then walking out of the building with some more boxes, is the same as flying Blackhawks into hostile airspace at night under the cover darkness, engaging with a firefight and getting out ahead of reinforcements.

Some 10 minutes later, Gilchrist led White House correspondent Monica Alba in lamenting how this was supposed to be “a week for big legislative wins for President Biden and a chance to put those front and center.”

“This has to be frustrating for the White House looking ahead to the midterms having to now deal with the former President again in the news cycle,” he added.

Sounding more like she’s auditioning to take floundering White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s job, Alba boasted: “this is a White House that has always said we can talk and chew gum at the same time.”

“Well, it’s nothing new to this White House, officials tell me. They are used to it. They’re used to it. And they continue, they say, to press ahead and focus on the work of this administration and its agenda,” she reassured MSNBC’s liberal viewer base.

AARON GILCHRIST: Clint, local officials told us that they had no prior information about the Mar-a-Lago search. Our knowledge is that the FBI called the Secret Service several hours before this search took place. What would the security of this information have been like? This could have been exceptional, or in some way standard.

CLINT WATTS – I’d say the bin Laden raid is second, if you had to guess. It’s possible that they didn’t allow anyone to be present except for a few. They probably planned the scenes and how they would react to it.

You know that search warrants are sometimes wrong. This means people may not understand the facts. This is not the first time we have seen such a confrontational president. They came in prepared, so I imagine.

You should also ensure that they only share information about search warrants with the minimum amount of people who need it. This is because it’s possible for anyone to access the evidence and destroy or hide it, or even move it to another place. This is essential for any investigation.

In terms of knowing who and how many knew, it was a small group of people that I believe knew the truth and kept the information probably more tight than any other time in the history of Department of Justice.

GILLICRIST: This was meant to be a week to do that Monica. It was to have big legislative victories for President Biden. We had a chance put these front and center. It must have been frustrating for the White House as they look ahead to the midterms and deal with him again in the news cycle.

MONICA ALBA They are used to it. They’re used to it. But they insist that they will continue to focus on the administration’s agenda and work. The President is expected to sign legislation which will help veterans exposed to the burn pits.

In the Rose Garden, he’ll do it in a similar fashion to today’s $280 billion semiconductor investment.

The White House believes that you can chew gum and talk at the same moment. The world outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is important to us. We do not want to be distracted. The political reality is that this does not overshadow. There are many questions regarding what might happen in 2024, if ex-President Trump decides to run, as a result of the huge Florida news, Aaron.
