Illinois School Board Tries to Walk Out on Bosnian Immigrant Warning Against Tyranny but Parents Stop Them Cold – Opinion

Mask mandates are becoming less and less popular, and this is, in part, the result of mask mandates being pushed on children in schools where they’re hardly needed. Angry parents have shown up at school board meetings to either demand an end to the nonsensical policies or remind stubborn leftist educators that it’s not their place to decide what their child does or does not do.

Parents protested the mask-mandates imposed on their children at a Collinsville school board meeting. A Bosnian immigrant who has experienced extreme tyranny came to the meeting as a speaker.

Virginia Kruta of The Daily Wire captured footage of the man telling the story of how the threat of genocide was hanging above his head in his home country. He was able to get away as a young child, and made his way to America to begin 5th grade.

The father stated that he had witnessed the atrocities committed against people before he arrived in America.

“It was the simple small things, because you couldn’t walk down the street and tell your neighbor how you really felt, because your neighbor might rat out on you,” he said. “And that’s where we’re at right now, we’re staring to see that.”

“Secondly, they forced every one of us to register our guns,” he continued. “I was very young, but I have vivid memories of the Serbs coming in and beating my parents, beating my mother, doing many other things to many other women.”

“So, I came over here and started out in 5th grade,” the dad said. “I was always the person to stand up for my principles, so I’m starting to teach my child to do the same thing.”

This heartbreaking story was told by the father to warn of tyrannical control, and the dangers associated with compliance.

However, the school board members didn’t seem to want to hear it. To silence him and make the meeting closed, they tried to scuttle the meeting. Parents protested the attempts to stop the immigrant from speaking and began to interrupt him.

It was then that two of the school board members began to get up and gather their things in order to walk out, but the parents weren’t having it. After having listened to them for quite some time, they demanded the ladies sit down and hear the man. The parents became angry and began shouting abuse at their board members while the father spoke. According to reports, the president of school boards ordered his board members not to speak, and they obliged.

After his talk, the Bosnian immigrant encouraged his audience to abandon tyrannical laws and not face the same issues as in Bosnia.

“There is no land of opportunity like there is here, and I’m just one person to say that. You know that there are over 60,000 people in St. Louis who are here because of a purpose. Not because we want to live the way we lived in the 90s [in Bosnia], in fear of what’s next,” he said. “This is becoming way too political and way too tyrannical. There’s absolutely no reason for this. None.”

“I have to say one more thing, and it’s simple: We all want to be civil, and we all want to do this the right way, but I’m telling you, if you do not stop complying, you will lose everything that you have,” the father warned, met with applause from parents.

“Stop complying,” he said through a standing ovation. “Stop complying.”

All across the country, parents have been making their voices heard at school board meetings to protest ridiculous policies. This has upset school board members, who try to escape from the parents they are responsible to. RedState reports that school board members from Frederick County in Virginia tried to escape parents after they were given subpoenas. This was due to a lawsuit against them for violating mask mandates.

The most significant fight in America is parents retaking schools from radical leftists who have made themselves at home there. As control over the education and future of our youth, this may be the greatest battle. Rest assured, this isn’t the first videos that have come out of school board meetings that feature angry parents dominating school board meetings, and it won’t be the last.
