Horrific Tornadoes Hit Multiple States, Causing Massive Damage, Deaths – Opinion

We reported last night on the tornado which struck an Amazon warehouse near Edwardsville, Illinois. People were trapped when the roof fell. It was termed a “mass casualty incident.” Two people were reported killed in early reports. The rescue operations are continuing to aid those affected.

Here’s Annie Frey’s take, about two miles away from the warehouse, where it also hit and damaged buildings over a century old on her parents’ farm. Annie just joined our VIP Gold Chat.

However, it wasn’t the end of the story as tornadoes also struck multiple states such as Illinois, Missouri Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear claimed that there had been at least 70 deaths in Kentucky and that the death toll could rise up to 100. Following a single tornado which ripped across the state over 200 miles, he declared a state emergency. The state was hit by at least four different tornadoes during that night.

It looked as if a bomb had struck Mayfield in Kentucky. The factory housed 110 employees and was flattened. So far, forty of them have been saved.

A “mass casualty event” was also declared at the destruction of the Monette Manor Nursing Home in Monette, Arkansas where at least two people were killed and five people were hurt.

Initially, 20 people were trapped. But they have reportedly gotten everyone out from the nursing home, so that’s good news.

In Leachville Arkansas at the Dollar General, one victim was also shot to death.

Are there more than 200k? reported Due to the tornadoes, power was out this morning.
