We reported last night on the tornado which struck an Amazon warehouse near Edwardsville, Illinois. People were trapped when the roof fell. It was termed a “mass casualty incident.” Two people were reported killed in early reports. The rescue operations are continuing to aid those affected.

However, it wasn’t the end of the story as tornadoes also struck multiple states such as Illinois, Missouri Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear claimed that there had been at least 70 deaths in Kentucky and that the death toll could rise up to 100. Following a single tornado which ripped across the state over 200 miles, he declared a state emergency. The state was hit by at least four different tornadoes during that night.

It looked as if a bomb had struck Mayfield in Kentucky. The factory housed 110 employees and was flattened. So far, forty of them have been saved.

Although rescue workers continue to try, the last rescue from the candle factory occurred at 3:30 AM. 40 people rescued so far. It was able to accommodate 110 persons at the time. @WDRBNews

A “mass casualty event” was also declared at the destruction of the Monette Manor Nursing Home in Monette, Arkansas where at least two people were killed and five people were hurt.

Initially, 20 people were trapped. But they have reportedly gotten everyone out from the nursing home, so that’s good news.
