As a writer at RedState, I’m obviously not a big fan of the “most trusted name in news.” CNN’s track record of overt political bias, professional misconduct, and outright false reporting could fill many volumes. But what makes it all the worse is the undeserved attitude of superiority that the network’s executives and hosts ooze out of every fiber of their being.
CNN even has an entire news section, headed by Brian Stelter. This division exists solely to attack Fox News. As evidenced by Chris Cuomo’s scandal, the log is as big as a sequoia in their eyes.
Chris Cuomo jumped into action after his brother was charged with sexual harassment and assault. He used his journalist contacts to help cover up the incident, as well as to try to ruin the reputations for those speaking against Andrew Cuomo. CNN finally gave in to the pressure after everything became unsustainable, which included a sexual harassment claim against Chris Cuomo.
CNN has now revealed more details about how toxic it is. One of Chris Cuomo’s former senior producers, John Griffin has been indicted for sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl and grooming others.

Note to Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy: Maybe what Tucker Carlson said last night that offended your sensibilities isn’t so important compared to this? This is perhaps the type of scandalous media story that deserves to be featured in your newsletter?
CNN will largely ignore this, though, because this is what they’ve become — a far-left network of disrepute that prefers the smell of its own farts to actually cleaning up the corruption in its midst. Remember that Jim Acosta harping on Fox News is all that matters. Remember that Chris Cuomo was disgraced to leave Fox News, but Don Lemon sang his praises live on air. This should be enough to give an indication of the chaos that is taking place. The inmates run the asylum, and that’s leading to some horrific results.
I don’t know how Jeff Zucker continues to keep his job after this. It’s not like CNN is doing well in the ratings under his leadership. CNN is consistently third only to the major cable news networks. And frankly, even if CNN was at the top of the heap, that wouldn’t excuse allowing this kind of stuff to happen under Zucker’s leadership.
It is time for heads to get over here, and Discovery might be the one that does.
