Amazon’s bastardization of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work looks worse and worse with every ad, leak, and interview. Fans slam the show for being too naive, but the crew and cast are proud to stand by it with open lies.
One of these, in particular, is the claim that there’s no tokenization in its casting. That claim falls flat based on previous interviews and falls short of Amazon’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies for the “Rings of Power” which even include inspections to make sure these policies are being upheld.
