A Pennsylvania teacher’s aide admitted to having sex with a student, according to local authorities.
Alicia A. Gates, 44, was arraigned in a North East court on Monday on charges stemming from her alleged sexual contact with the 16-year-old male student, Erie News Now reported.
According to a criminal complaint, the boy’s father told investigators his son had once dated Gates’ 15-year-old daughter.
Investigators said the father reported the relationship between his son and Gates to State Police after finding multiple phone calls between the two on the boy’s phone.
The victim’s father also discovered numerous phone calls from the office of North East Intermediate School, where Gates was employed.
State Police interviewed Gates, who admitted to kissing, touching, texting, phone calls and sexting the victim via Snapchat.
She also told investigators she had sex with him twice late last year at her friend’s house.
According to authorities, Gates admitted to meeting up with the student and giving him a cell phone after he snuck out of his house.
