Anchor David Muir started the segment lying about President Biden fighting for his freedom. “to protect voting rights in this country” Rachel Scott, Congressional correspondent at ABC, was able to complain about Republicans “repeatedly” blocking Democrats passing “voting right” legislation. This is nothing more that a Federal Government takeover of Elections.

Scott agreed to this, then badgered Democratic Senators Joe Manchin in West Virginia and Krysten Sinema in Arizona for refusing their demands.

DAVID MUIR : Tonight’s news is about the emerging headline here in Washington and President Biden’s struggle to defend voting rights. Tomorrow and tonight the President will be on Capitol Hill. News that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has now said that he is preparing for debate about a bill to combine these two voting rights bills. Rachel Scott is live from the Hill tonight. Rachel Schumer, Senator says that Senate debate could start without any changes to the rules. We know that the threats of filibuster had blocked debate. So, how does this all work?
RACHEL SCOTT. Well, David. While the Senate Republicans repeatedly blocked Democrats debating any voting rights legislation legislation, tonight’s Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he had figured out how to move forward. He attached voting rights legislation over in the House. The Senate will now be able to debate voting rights, without having to change any existing rules.
MUIR He would need to get around filibuster.
SCOTT: Exactly, David. You have Senator Joe Manchin (democratic moderate) and Senator Kyrsten Sinema (democratic moderate). They strongly oppose changing the Senate rules. This would enable Democrats to pass the voting rights legislation with no Republican opposition. Tomorrow, President Biden plans to visit Capitol Hill and make an in-person appeal to Senators Chuck Schumer and Majority leader Chuck Schumer to get a vote for those changes. David?
