‘Will Work out for Everybody’ – Opinion

Everyone is chiming in on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. WadeTrump, the former president of the United States, is not an exception. Trump, who has been given much of the credit for appointing the justices who voted to allow states to decide abortion policy, lauded the decision, saying it “will work out for everybody.”

During an appearance on Fox News, Trump praised the court’s ruling. “This is following the Constitution, and giving rights back when they should have been given long ago,” he said.

When asked if he had any comments for his supporters who are pro-choice, Trump said, “I think, in the end, this is something that will work out for everybody.”

He continued: “This brings everything back to the states where it has always belonged.”

However, in a rare moment of humility, Trump refused to take credit for the court’s decision. If he feels he was involved in the reversal, he refused to answer. Roe by appointing three justices to the Supreme Court, he said: “God made the decision.”

Trump appointed Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court while he was still in office. This gave the court a majority of conservatives for the first time since decades to the dismay of left-leaning members who were afraid of its overturning. Roe.Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer were dissented. Fox News reported:

The ruling came in the court’s opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which centered on a Mississippi law that banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Mississippi’s Republican government asked the Supreme Court for a reversal of an earlier court ruling which had prevented the elimination of the 15-week-old abortion ban.

Justice Samuel Alito, who wrote the court’s majority opinion, argued that the Constitution never protected the right to abortion. He said:

“We end this opinion where we began. It is an ethically fundamental question to consider abortion. However, the Constitution doesn’t prohibit citizens from prohibiting or regulating abortion. Roe and Casey ascended to that power. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives.”

Leftists in favor of abortion made a lot noise online and on airwaves, shaming the court’s decision. Democratic politicians pledged to resist the decision and will likely seek executive power as well as the legislative protections to ensure that abortion is protected as best as they can. This is a major step in the right direction for saving lives. Nevertheless, the battle will still continue regardless of the court’s decision.
