Is Joe Biden’s staff trying to sabotage him? While it is unlikely that he would do so, his staff has made some terrible decisions regarding public appearances. Don’t get me wrong, there’s never really a good time to have Biden out in front of people, but the rush to push out recordings of him after he contracted COVID-19 has led to some really uncomfortable scenes.
The White House immediately released a photo that left no doubts. Biden did then do a livestream (which abruptly cut off) and looked almost like he was going to fall over. Then, on Monday, the president’s comms team put together a clip of him ranting about “insurrection,” and they really shouldn’t have.
You can watch the entire video and try to figure out what makes him look so strange.

The first time I watched it, I didn’t catch it. The guy was glazed-over, which I suspected. He always seems glazed-over. And yeah, his voice is scratchy, but he does have COVID-19, so that couldn’t be it. It hit me again after watching another video. Joe Biden can go for 42 seconds with no blinking (from:41-1,23 in this video).
He’s reading a teleprompter the entire time and his eyes never move. The TV is a giant, heat-seeking missile that he keeps his eyes fixed on. To go for 42 seconds without blinking is amazing. That takes some serious skill…or some serious drugs. In fact, while I was timing it out, I had to restart the video several times because I couldn’t hold my own eyes open long enough to make sure he hadn’t blinked while I was blinking.
Just out of curiosity, I searched how often an average person blinks per minute. I got a range of 15-20 blinks per minute. There are some conditions that could lead to someone having a slower blink rate, but that’s the point. Biden’s physical presentation is concerning, to say the least, and it isn’t just his COVID-19 that is at issue because he often looks this way. I mean, I’m not going to accuse the president of being on cocaine, but that’s what it makes me think of. It’s clear that he is high on stimulants.
And we haven’t even gotten to the actual content of the clip yet. This is absurd. The president has to go on about Donald Trump’s January 6th birthday. Why was Monday so important? Again, I just don’t understand what his staff is doing. You have to look at how sickly and disoriented he appears in the video. It’s best to save the clip and put it on the floor. One more Biden clip would not have occurred to anyone.
However, for some reason the White House thinks they must prove that Biden can do the job. However, they are unable to demonstrate that Biden is up for the task. isn’t You are up to the task. It’d be better to just isolate the president than continue to show his weakness so often. If this is really about COVID-19 then stop making videos of him.
