WH Avoids Talking Unemployment & Struggling Businesses, Blames Omicron

Jen Psaki (White House Press Secretary) blamed COVID-19-omicron variant job losses ahead of an potentially devastating jobs report that will be released by the Department of Labor. It is scheduled for release on February 4, 2009.

Psaki ran ahead of the jobs report during Monday’s press conference: “Because omicron was so highly transmissible, nearly nine million people called out sick in early January when the jobs data was being collected,” Psaki explained to reporters. “[T]he week the survey was taken … was at the height of the omicron spike.” She continued, “As a result, the month’s jobs report may show job losses, in large part because workers were out sick from omicron at the point when it was peaking.” Psaki’sA chilling report on new employment by the Automatic Data Processing Research Institute, an economist research group, followed this propaganda drive. It showed that January saw a drop in employment of hundreds of thousand jobs.

“Private sector employment decreased by 301,000 jobs from December to January,” according to ADP’s January National Employment Report. Medium, large, and small businesses all suffered from the same fate, with 14,000 jobs lost month-to-month. The combined loss of 157,000 jobs in medium and large businesses has almost doubled the number lost by small businesses. Leisure and hospitality lost 154,000 jobs, while trade, transport, utilities and utilities saw 62,000 job losses, and manufacturing suffered 21,000 job cuts. This was the “first time ADP reported negative job growth since December 2020,” reported CNBC.

ADP’s National Employment Report was just more evidence that the Biden administration has gaslighted Americans on the economy.

Jeff Cox, CNBC Finance Editor explained why the ADP report was so distressing:

“Private payrolls fell by 301,000 for the month, well below the Dow Jones estimate for growth of 200,000 and The stock market plunged by a significant amount Downwardly revised: 776,000 Gain in December,” [emphasis added.]

And in other words:The Dow Jones prediction of growth was wrong by 501,000 jobs.

CNBC Senior Economics Reporter Steve Liesman reacted live to the ADP report on “Squawk Box” on Feb. 2.

“[T]Services saw a big drop of 274,000. This is because apparently, omicron was a huge effect. And there’s the estimate for Friday, 150,000. You’ll note that when we reported this initially, the estimate was 178,000. Dow Jones has now taken down that to 150,000.”

Psaki wasn’t the only one who attempted to gaslight the American people. Her boss — President Joe Biden — posted an absurd tweetFeb. 2, 2012: How great was the economy last year. “2021 was the greatest year of job growth in American history,” the president wrote.

Carol Roth, a former investment banker turned entrepreneur, gave the following speech smart response to Biden’s spin on the economy: “If you burn down a house and it gets rebuilt, you have not ‘created new housing’; you replaced it. The same goes for jobs; the govt closed businesses and ‘burned down’ the jobs associated with them. Those that have been reclaimed does not equate to ‘creating new jobs.’”
