On Wednesday evening’s Report Special, fill-in anchor John Roberts ran a segment by correspondent David Spunt about the House Republicans’ plan to defund President Joe Biden’s disinformation governance board which is nothing more than an Orwellian Ministry of Truth.
Roberts began the segment with announcing “Republicans seek to block the existence of the disinformation governance board by removing its funding.”And revealed that Federal Communications Commission official calls panel Orwellian.
Spunt explained to viewers what the “disinformation board” is all about. Fox viewers were informed by Spunt that the board was The board was created by the Department of Homeland Security in late December to prevent misinformation from flowing south of the border.
The board’s current director is also causing problems for critics. Nina Jenkowitz was a disinformation specialist at a DC think-tank before she became the leader of the group.Spunt also noted that she “Online presence is huge, with previous comments, from criticizing Hunter Biden’s laptop for Trump campaign use to videos that show her singing about misinformation.”
Spunt stated that Spunt would add to the document before he handed it back Roberts. “Department of Homeland Security tracks disinformation over many years”The disinformation board, however, is the only new thing. Spunt heard a statement from Nina Jankowitz recently. “I would consider working for any administration with a solid respect for the truth and Democratic and human rights — whether conservative or liberal.”
Nina Jenkowitz is unlikely to work as a Republican president unless she was a liberal Republican. It is doubtful even if it was a liberal Republican. It’s clear she is an ardent leftist partisan. Jankowitz’s claim that she will work for a Republican president is similar to Rachel Maddow’s announcement she would accept the role of Press Secretary for a Republican president.

Eastern, 6:13:09JOHN ROBERTS. Republicans seek to block the creation of the disinformation governance board by removing its funding. An official from the Federal Communications Commission called the panel unconstitutional, orwellian, and dangerous. David Spunt, our correspondent on Capitol Hill has the most recent news.
KEVIN MCCARTHY: The President’s ministry of truth is just an un-American abuse of power.
DAVID SPUNT: House Republicans say they have a plan to stop the government’s new disinformation governance board: by defunding it. This board, which was established by the Department of Homeland Security last month, is meant to block misinformation coming in from China and Russia. Republicans don’t buy it.
REP. MIKE JOHNSON: We don’t allow–we don’t trust government bureaucrats–government officials to determine what is true and acceptable speech. This is anti-American!
SPUNT: The board’s director is also a source of concern for critics. Nina Jenkowitz was previously a disinformation specialist at a DC think-tank before she became the leader of the group. She has a vast online presence, including past remarks that criticize the Hunter Biden laptop and call it a Trump campaign product. She sings about misinformation.
Boebert, a congresswoman from Maryland is supporting the bill to eliminate the funding of the board. She criticized the bill on the House Floor last night and Vice President Biden.
REP. LAURENT BOEBERT (Yes, it sounds like the words a lying pony-soldier dogface).
SPUNT: Democrats immediately responded.
REP. JAMIE RASKIN: We obviously could’ve taken those words down, but we have serious business to do here. The world should see the way the gentleman from Colorado addresses the public in her capacity as a member.
SPUNT: Since years, the Department of Homeland Security has been monitoring disinformation. John is the new board, Nina Jankowitz recently issued a defense to herself and her critics. She said that she wanted to read the entire thing in its entirety. “I would consider working for any administration with a solid respect for the truth and Democratic and human rights — whether conservative or liberal”, John?
