WashPost’s Dana Milbank Beclowns Himself: Press Rougher on Biden Than Trump!!!

Washington PostDana Milbank was the columnist for this column. It was written so strongly in favor of Biden, that Ron Klain, Biden’s chief-of-staff, retweeted it. The preposterous title was “The media treats Biden as badly as — or worse than — Trump. Here’s proof.”

Liberals are known to avoid reading articles. It’s so old-fashioned to have a real human read prose. Instead they use a computer algorithm to create their argument.

Artificial intelligence is now able to measure negativity accurately. At my request, Forge.ai, a data analytics unit of the information company FiscalNote, combed through more than 200,000 articles — tens of millions of words — from 65 news websites (newspapers, network and cable news, political publications, news wires and more) to do a “sentiment analysis”Coverage The use of algorithms to assign weights to particular adjectivesBased on the placement of the stories, the algorithm rated both the coverage Biden got in the first eleven months of 2021 as well as President Donald Trump’s in 2020.

My tears are filled with “BS,” a sea of BS. It’s not possible to assign a computer the task of reading 200,000 articles for adjectives and then claim bias in media. NewsBusters can’t read through 200,000 articles within 15 minutes. Who needs a media analyst human? Milbank’s clowncar is speeding up the information superhighway.

Bill Frischling (FinancialNote vice-president) compiled these findings with great care. They confirmed my fears: My fellow media professionals are supporting the destruction of democracy.

After a honeymoon of slightly positive coverage in the first three months of the year, Biden’s press for the past four months has been as bad as — and for a time worse than — the coverage Trump received for the same four months of 2020.

Milbank believes that the mainstream media must have a bias against Biden, as it’s for democracy. They are astonished at their inability to dismiss America’s entire Republican population.

Independent, skeptical press is what we need. How about being partisans of democracy? There is an existential battle in the country between authoritarian rule and self-governance. We, the news media collectively have treated the authoritarians …. with equal or slightly better treatment.

Journalists are trapped between the saboteurs of democracy and their supporters, between facts and fiction. It’s time to take a stand.

Biden included opinions sites from both sides in his sample of news articles: New York Postare the least positive outlets. However, even moderate ones like Salon or HuffPost can be negative.”

Ron Klain loves this argument. This is what he started with:

Then he retweeted Trump -trashing Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan.

He’s got the numbers! The man is promoting an actual computer-assisted word meal that they call “media analysis”.
