Veteran Swimming Official Quits In Protest Over UPenn’s Trans Swimmer

Long-time USA Swimming official Cynthia Millen resigned a week ago in protest over the so-called University of Pennsylvania transgender athlete making a mockery of women’s collegiate swimming. Millen told The Washington Times and Fox News that she will not support transgender nonsense on the grounds that the fairness in women’s swimming is being destroyed by a man.

Lia Thomas was a mediocre swimmer on the UPenn men’s swimming team for three years, then suddenly claimed he is a female. Now swimming for the women’s team, he is smoking all female competitors in the pool. He completed testosterone suppression treatments to meet the NCAA’s ridiculous guidelines, but his XY chromosomes and his physical advantages over females have not lessened.

Millen said she can no longer serve as a women’s swimming official because biological men are creating an uneven playing field for women.

‘’I don’t mean to be critical of Lia,” Millen said. “Whatever’s going on, Lia’s a child of God, a precious person, but bodies swim against bodies. That’s a male body against females. This male body cannot be altered. The male body is always a male body.’’

Millen is not the only swimming official opposed to males competing on women’s teams. ‘’I’ve talked to some other officials, and while they say, ‘Yeah, this is ridiculous,’ I think a lot of people feel like they can’t do anything about it,’’ she said. ‘’But you’ve got to make a stand sometimes. The deck will not change if too many people leave the room or there aren’t enough referees who say so. It’s wrong.’’

Speaking of pool decks, Millen also said that ‘’If Lia came on my deck as a referee, I would pull the coach aside and say, ‘Lia can swim, but Lia can swim exhibition or a time trial. Lia cannot compete against those women because that’s not fair.’”

It is up to coaches and officials in swimming to advocate for fairness and protect biological women. Young swimmers don’t have the same pull to speak out against injustices like people running sports do.

Millen claims that USA Swimming’s leaders fear losing sponsors and being portrayed as not inclusive. ‘’But this is not being inclusive. This is being deceitful.’’ She’s so right. LGBT pressure groups are determined to attack those who stand in their path and refuse to acknowledge their sinister agenda.

Millen also told Raymond Arroyo on Fox News that ‘’Women biologically will never be faster than men. A Katie Ledecky might beat some guys but, ultimately, it’s the women who win. [best]Katie Ledecky is going to be defeated by guys. Absolutely. This differential is 8-12% faster. Equally trained, they will always win.”

Gender inequality is likely to continue. State universities love LGBT organizations. The transgender movement is at the top of their agenda, and they’ve got powerful friends pushing this in powerful institutions, including government, the courts, public education and media (note NBC’s “Out” reporter defending trans athletes). Millen is one example of a courageous person who has the guts to speak up and challenge the agenda.
