Unknown Number of People Trapped in Illinois Amazon Warehouse Collapse – Opinion

A number of powerful storms have decimated Illinois. At least one tornado was among them. Edwardsville’s partial collapse of Amazon Distribution Center in Edwardsville is the most prominent. It is thought that more than 100 people are still trapped within the structure, although the exact number is not known.

Ridge Riders, storm chasers, captured the footage of the tornado thought to have reached the distribution centre.

Aisha White spoke on the phone to a relative who was in the building during the fall.

“He was on the phone with me while it was happening,” she recalled. “The tornado was hitting the back of the building, the trucks were coming in, I told him to jump out the truck and duck. We watched the building go up, stuff hitting the cars, I told him I was on my way.”

Unconfirmed reports have surfaced that there were injuries at the distribution center. Numerous first responders have arrived on the scene.
