Twitter suspended Marjorie Taylor Greene’s verified account.
According to CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, Twitter said @mtgreenee was “permanently suspended” “for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy.”
“We permanently suspended… @mtgreenee… for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” the tweet read. “We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”
Greene can still access the @RepMTG official account that she used as a congresswoman. She blamed Communist Democrats for the suspension.
“Social media platforms can’t stop the truth from being spread far and wide,” she said. Big Tech cannot stop the truth. Communist Democrats cannot stop the truth. I stand for truth and people. “We will prevail!”
Twitter users suggested that Greene sue the company.
“By censoring elected politicians who are running for office, Twitter is engaged in illegal election interference,” Chris Buskirk, editor and publisher of American Greatness, tweeted. “What attorney-general or county prosecutor or DA will prosecute them?”
