Twitter has done it again. They just announced steps to “protect” the midterm elections.

According to their Twitter thread, “Starting today, we’ll begin enforcing the Civic Integrity Policy in context of the US 2022 midterms. This means we’ll take action against misleading claims about the voting process, misleading content intended to intimidate or dissuade people from participating in the election, or misleading claims that may undermine public confidence in elections outcomes.
The Civic Integrity Policy covers the most common types of harmful misleading information about elections and civic events, such as: claims about how to participate in a civic process like how to vote, misleading content intended to intimidate or dissuade people from participating in the election, and misleading claims intended to undermine public confidence in an election – including false information about the outcome of the election. Twitter might label these tweets with credible or useful context links. Twitter will not endorse or promote this content within the areas that Twitter recommends. Twitter users will be prompted before liking and sharing tweets with this content. In cases of potential harm, it may also not be shared or liked.
“The mission of our civic integrity work is to protect the conversation on Twitter during elections or other civic processes,” they say on their website.
So nice of them to want to “protect” our conversation so that we act in accordance with what they believe and the proper narrative.
As they seek to ensure the integrity and fairness of elections, they have asked me to provide some suggestions.
Here’s ten minutes of every prominent Democrat denying Donald Trump won the presidential election in 2016. These people are now telling us to question the results of the presidential election as a threat to democracy. pic.twitter.com/h428LRT8Tq

It was a heist on our election. There is no question. The duty of Congress is to #ProtectOurDemocracy & #FollowTheFacts.

Can we rest assured that the misleading and deceptive claims made by Democrats will be exposed? These are flagged even though they’re false.
Twitter was a force to be reckoned with during 2016’s election. They blocked people from sharing Hunter Biden stories and even suspended accounts. The official NY Post account was even removed. Jack took responsibility for the incident and apologized. So can we expect that they’re gearing up again? Here’s a thought for them. Let’s not interfere with the discussion and let people decide.
