Tucker Carlson is Back, Sounds Off on FBI Raid and DOJ – Opinion

Fox News host Tucker Carlson returned to “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” and he had his first chance to sound off on the FBI/Department of Justice raid of Mar-a-Lago, and it’s clear that Carlson might be even more effective having been gone all last week as the story developed. Tucker began his monologue by speaking about law enforcement and that the raid on Mar-a-Lago was a “power grab.”

Carlson stated:

“For the sake of argument … we’re going to say that it is in fact true, that Donald Trump did in fact get classified boxes of documents sitting in his cellar. Let’s say that’s true. How would that translate? What the document contained will determine what meaning it has. Were they able to provide meaningful information? Do they need to have been classified? … You never hear those questions asked in public, but anyone who lives in Washington knows perfectly well, they should be asked in public…”

This is the complete opening monologue. It is well worth your time.

He then asked what the nuclear secrets MSNBC kept promoting were and what Trump would do about them.

“Nuclear secrets?! Nuclear secrets are the highest classified status … What’s a nuclear secret exactly and what did Trump plan to do with them? … Give the launch codes to Vladimir Putin?”

Carlson also lamented the ridiculous suggestion by Michael Hayden (ex-CIA Director) that Trump should be executed.

Carlson added:

“Nuclear secrets? If the Biden administration really believed that, if they really thought Donald Trump possessed documents that posed an imminent danger to American national security, then you have to wonder why they’d wait a year and a half to do anything about it? It is why they waited so long before the midterm elections. … Despite superficial appearances the raid on Mar-a-Lago was not an act of law enforcement. This was exactly the opposite. It was an attack upon the rule and law. It was a power grab.”

He mentioned that the DOJ was trying to find Trump associates. Carlson spoke out:

“Permanent Washington doesn’t want Trump to run again. Of course, it’s their greatest fear & they’re doing all they can to prevent it. It turns out Democracy was too important to let voters choose their own President.”

The monologue was concluded by he saying:

“But they don’t care, because they’re facing a repudiation from voters and they’re desperate, and they’ll do anything. But at what price? Pray they pull back before it’s too late.”

Carlson didn’t hold back. White House journalists should try to get these questions from Joe Biden or Karine Jean-Pierre.
