TikTok Censored MRCTV 36x! Platform Banned, Then Restored MRC Account

TikTok can’t seem to get rid of MRCTV no matter how hard it tries. After 36 restrictions, the platform banned MRCTV and restored it.

The Chinese Communist Party-affiliated app “permanently banned” MRCTV “due to multiple violations of [its] Community Guidelines,” according to the notice TikTok sent MRCTV Thursday. The platform gave no specific reason for the ban, and when we attempted to “view details” of what happened, the app logged us out of our account. MRCTV filed an appeal and TikTok reduced the ban to a 7-day limit, but it only did so after removing one additional video.

TikTok’s shenanigans are nothing new for MRCTV. It removed 30 videos and blocked the account five more times. This was all done in 2022.

TikTok removed an MRCTV street video of Tierin Rose Mandelburg, Writer, and Video Creator, at the Bans Off Our Bodies rally. Mandelburg interviewed pro -abortion activists about the signs they had and their motivations for coming to the rally. Also, she shared her thoughts and reactions about the rally. “Abortion is murder,” she said. “The narrative that they’re pushing is that anything inconvenient that you don’t want, you can just kill.” TikTok removed the video after it restored MRCTV’s account for alleged “Community Guidelines violations,” according to the notice.

On March 10, the platform deleted a clip from “Reality Check”, hosted by MRCTV Managing Editor Brittany Hughes. The Biden administration was criticized for saying it would not consider any black candidates to replace Stephen Breyer, former Supreme Court justice. “The heck with the rest of her resume and the fact that she may in fact actually be the best nominee on merit,” Hughes said. TikTok has restored the content following appeals by MRCTV. After MRCTV appealed, TikTok removed the video on May 16 Please try again Rejected a second appeal

TikTok removed 10 MRCTV videos, and restored seven of them during March. On March 23, the platform restricted the account for seven days and “temporarily blocked [the account]Commenting and posting are both possible [and]”messaging,” as per the TikTok notification sent to MRCTV. TikTok did not respond to MRCTV’s appeal but within 24 hours the platform extended the week-long restriction by another day.

MRCTV Blogger and On-Air Host Nick Kangadis excoriated Disney’s opposition to the Florida Parental Rights in Education Act, in a March 23 episode of “Things That Need to Be Said.” “[Disney]Want[s]Kangadis said that schools must teach 5 year-olds gay sex, how to transition to another gender, and any other activities they shouldn’t learn about. TikTok pulled the video from its site because the content violated their policies on hate speech and harassment and bullying. TikTok refused to accept MRCTV’s appeal.
