The View’s ‘Conservative’ Eager for 2024 Dem Nominee ‘WE’ Can Push

Former Trump White House official turned self-serving sellout, Alyssa Farah Griffin once again joined ABC’s The ViewOn Tuesday, Griffin met with her friends to discuss the Jan 6 Committee hearings. She also criticized the party that she claimed to be still a member of. Griffin appeared to announce that she is interested in supporting a Democratic candidate at the end of a conversation on potential nominees for 2024. And co-host Sunny Hostin announced her primary requirement for a candidate is that they’re hot.

Griffin started the segment with Whoopi Goldberg, a cohost, sourly predicting that Trump would be running again in 2024. Griffin pointed out that President Trump was facing bad times due to inflation, stock market declines, and high gas prices. Griffin soon asked Whoopi Goldberg about the Democrats and expressed an interest in running for them.

“I’m curious. Who are the Dems running? Where is like the Obama energy that we could bring?”The liberal cast was enquired. She quickly retorted and added, “That you guys could bring.”

Goldberg responded by suggesting we don’t “need Obama energy” but rather someone who can get the country “in line.”

These could be bread, gas, unemployment, or all three.

Hostin chimed in to pop off on who she doesn’t want to see as the GOP nominee, that being “fascist” and “bigot”Ron DeSantis, Florida Republican Governor. He also got a nickname she came up with:

HOSTIN: I hope it’s no DeathSantis. I hope it’s no DeathSantis over in Florida because I think he’s a fascist—

JOY BEHAR – What was his name? DeathSantis?

HOSTIN: DeathSantis. It seems that he failed to handle COVID. I consider him a fascist.

“Those are his good points,” co-host Joy Behar declared with a big proud smile on her face thinking she said something witty.

Hostin would love to see the Democratic nominee win. “There are plenty of, you know, Democrats that have tons of verve and energy. What I’m referring to is, I like Gavin Newsom because he’s really pretty to look at,”“I think he does a great job in California,” she exclaimed. “I think he does a great job in California.”

Announcing you’d be voting for someone because you think they’re hot… Imagine if this was a dude saying that about a female politician. That’s not to mention that Newsom objectivelyHandled COVID worseDeSantis.

Hostin also said she’d love a “Kamala and Pete Buttigieg ticket.” “Do you think they could win, really?” Behar seemed to scoff (remember Vice President Harris dropped out before the 2020 primaries even started and Secretary Buttigieg only won Iowa). “Well, I would vote for them,” Hostin blurted out as if she spoke for the country.

Adding: “I think the brain power alone would just obliterate Trump or DeathSantis.”

With the play-off music sounding, Griffin squeezed in one parting comment declaring, “We deserve better options than two octogenarians…”

Well, this got Goldberg’s blood boiling as she called Griffin “ageist” and pushed the long-debunked lie that former President Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer’s while in office:

Ronald Reagan, a younger man, had Alzheimer’s.He was much younger than 80 years old, which I do not believe is what it takes to make things happen. It’s not about your energy, it’s what you can get done.

And still wigging out about former Obama adviser David Axelrod calling Biden too old, Behar screeched about how he needed to “keep his mouth shut. Ronald Reagan said, “Thou shalt not speak ill about a fellow Republican.” And I say onto you David Axelrod, do not speak ill of a fellow Democrat!”

ALYSSA FARAH FIFFIN: If you look at your retirement account, looked at the fuel prices and inflation yesterday (which are all not Biden’s fault), that opens up a pathway for Donald Trump. It’s a question about who is the best person to defeat Donald Trump, since that man shouldn’t be elected president again. I don’t think Joe Biden would make a good choice.

David Axelrod was a senior Obama adviser who said that he would be turning 82 in a few years. It’s not just about age. He doesn’t have the strength or sharpness of Biden five years back. The man is someone I have immense respect for.

I’m curious. I’m curious who the Dems will run. We could be the Obama energy. You guys can bring it.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I don’t think we need Obama energy we need somebody who can get the country back on, on line, in line, because, you know, if you can name me a Republican who has a shot to do that’s what I’m more interested in.

[Crosstalk]

SUNNY HOSTIN: I hope it’s no DeathSantis. I hope it’s no DeathSantis over in Florida because I think he’s a fascist—

JOY BEHAR – What was his name? DeathSantis?

HOSTIN: DeathSantis. He handled COVID poorly, I believe. He’s an extremist and bigot, I believe.

BEHAR [with a big proud smile on her face]These are his positive points.

HOSTIN: These are his positive points. Exactly!

SARA HAINES: Don’t hold back Sunny!

BEHAR: Ba da bum.

[Laughter]

HOSTIN – And this is what I loathe, people saying that Hoston is too old. If the former twice impeached and disgraced president feels that he’s a young spring bird, then he will turn 78 in a year when Joe Biden turns 81. So, this ageism argument is not for me. But, I will.

BEHAR: That’s true.

[Crosstalk]

BEHAR. Biden asked me when he was in town. Biden works out everyday, but I doubt Trump does. Have a look.

HOSTIN: Take a look. Exactly. You can find plenty of Democrats who have lots of energy and verve. I mean, I like Gavin Newsom because he’s really pretty to look at. He does an excellent job in California, I believe. A Kamala and Pete Buttigieg is my favourite ticket.

HAINES: I love Pete Buttigieg.

HOSTIN: That looks fantastic.

BEHAR: Are you sure they can win?

HOSTIN : Yes, they would get my vote. It is my hope that this nation will be ready for such a thing. The brain power would suffice to obliterate Trump and DeathSantis.

GRIFFIN : It would be great to see a rational Republican candidate. I believe that Pence has begun to prepare and I also think that Pompeo may have started thinking about it. Better options are available than the two octogenarians, who tried to topple the government.

GOLDBERG: Ooo. It’s age. You’re being ageist. And I’m going to say it. Ronald Reagan, a younger man with Alzheimer’s disease, was much older than 80 when he died. It’s not about your energy, it’s what you can get done.

BEHAR: May I add another?

BEHAR: David Axelrod needs to keep his mouth closed. Ronald Reagan said, “Thou shall not speak unkindly of another Republican.” David Axelrod is my friend. Do not criticize a fellow Democrat.
