The writing has been on the wall for Democrats for some time now, with President Joe Biden’s approval ratings dropping close to basement levels (freefalling after the Afghanistan debacle) and Congress’ approval among a majority of voters being even worse.
Gallup polls have revealed a startling statistic which will keep Joe Biden, or his handlers, up at night trying find ways to defeat it. A key piece of information from the poll shows that Democrats’ support for the Democrat controlled Congress dropped to 55% from last month and fell to 33% one month later.
Now, 33% of U.S. Democrats approve of Congress’s job. This is down from 55% in September. https://t.co/2Dmk9nOuPG pic.twitter.com/pz5UzJXmUY

A 22 percent drop. Among Democrats. Wowzers. There is no doubt that the sirens are blasting loud at Biden Headquarters today.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the big issue here for Democrat voters is their party’s failure to get the reconciliation and infrastructure bills passed after months of frantic back and forth negotiations, even though they control the House and have a razor-thin edge in the Senate.
The possibility exists that, if the bills are passed and supported by Democrats in Congress, this could happen. There are many Democrats will rebound, but even so, the dye has been cast as even Democrats are now seeing that Joe Biden for all his promises of unity and bipartisanship and getting things done or whatever has proven to be an ineffective “leader” in bringing the warring factions Even in his partyTogether.
But let’s say Biden and Congressional Dems are able to get it together and do a good job of shoring up their base ahead of the 2022 midterms. The big problem is the disapproval of Joe Biden and his party by independent voters. This data point was taken from a Fox News poll that we covered:

As 538 noted last week, the receipts on the cratering support for Joe Biden and the Democrats among independent voters – and Hispanic voters as well, they note – don’t lie:
Over his first nine months in office, President Biden has lost support among Americans of all stripes — men and women, Black voters and white voters, Zoomers and Baby Boomers. Disillusioned Democrats are even more widespread than Democrats. Two groups have suffered the most from Biden’s loss of support: Hispanics and independents. Biden has been criticized by the independents to such an extent that their approval ratings are now near the negative rating they gave Trump in the same period. Hispanics may be disapproving of Biden more than they did last year, when they began shifting toward Trump and the GOP.
Needless to say, it’s bad when you’re losing support among your core constituencies. Losing support within your own base is also a problem. It’s not good. I mean if your own party can’t get things done when they control the House, Senate, and the White House, then why bother to show up? Rest assured that that will be the mindset for some going into next fall’s elections, although to what extent remains to be seen.
Simply stated, Democrats will face a catastrophe if they don’t reverse their course. This is largely due to Joe Biden who, according to his supporters, isn’t the hero he claimed to be.
