It is up to you whether it should be called a raid or not. This is the real question.
Nine hours and an alleged healthy rifle through Melania’s closet and raid seems like the appropriate word for what the FBI did at Mar-A-Lago last week, ostensibly searching for something that the tinfoil hatters on the left have insisted was related to nuclear secrets Trump was certainly going to sell to our enemies.
The truth may be more open if there is some reporting in Just The News or podcasting by ex-Trump insiders, like Kash Paltel. Some of the discussion from those outlets contend that FBI may have wanted documents related to the debunked and scandalous Russia collusion investigation the agency certainly played a less than impressive part in because those documents might a) strengthen the public’s disgust with the agency’s behavior, and b) might actually pose a security risk because they may not have been redacted appropriately.
Here’s John Solomon on the matter from just before Trump’s home was descended upon by the federal police force.
This memo, obtained from the National Archives by Just the News contains the previously unknown story of why highly anticipated declassified materials never went public. The memo was written hours before Trump left office by Mark Meadows (then White House Chief Of Staff)
Meadows’ memo confirmed prior reporting by Just the News that Trump on Jan. 19, 2021 declassified a binder of hundreds of pages of sensitive FBI documents that show how the bureau used informants and FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and misled both a federal court and Congress about flaws in the evidence they offered to get approval for the investigation.
Declassified documents include transcripts from intercepts by the FBI of Trump advisers and a copy declassified of the last FISA warrant that was approved by intelligence courts. Also included were tasking orders, debriefings and tasks of Christopher Steele, Stefan Halper and Stefan Halper. These two sources are used by the bureau to determine whether Trump colluded or not with Russia in order to steal the 2016 elections.
Multiple investigations revealed that no collusion was found and that FBI officials violated FISA court rules. This is in an attempt to maintain the probe.
This story is basically about Trump declaring these documents declassified. The DOJ raised concerns over redactions. Meadows agreed and let the DOJ redact the documents. The alleged documents were never made public. So these documents could be (or not — We haven’t seen the affadavit) what the FBI was looking for.
This was an extremely disappointing ending to Russia collusion. Although the politics were fascinating, it was not enough to protect or serve America’s people. This is such a shame.
I talk about all that on the show today, as well as offer thoughts on the downright entertaining “Elvis” (trailer below). And of course I wasn’t letting the story of the alleged creative geniuses among us turning Joan of Arc into a narcissistic, naval-gazing, confused non-binary. You won’t be able to resist a good laugh. You will be amazed at the silliness.
