The Empire Strikes Back at Elon Musk – Opinion

Elon Musk made Thursday’s announcement that he was trying to purchase Twitter in order to save the platform from being used for political speech. Already, liberal panic has erupted over his announcement.

Are they trying to stop him already? Fox’s Charlie Gasparino has some troubling news that looks like the Empire may be striking back.

“As @elonmusk offers to buy the rest of @Twitter a legal source tells @FoxBusiness @SECGov and @TheJusticeDept have launched what he described as a “joint investigation” into a myriad of Musk regulatory issues primarily involving @Tesla,” Gasparino tweeted.

This is a very interesting time! This announcement was made by Elon Musk. Now, I can’t make a judgment on the legality of whatever they might have in their mind without knowing more. We’ll have to see what’s behind this. Suddenly they have questions about Tesla just as he’s making this big move on Twitter? If it’s just about filing forms with the SEC late, that’s no big thing. But the mention of the DOJ sounds like it’s more than that. It seems to me like this may be an effort to stop Elon from making his 4D chess moves this morning. This seems to be a warning. We will take on the fight against liberal control if you don’t comply.

The Russia collusion hoax was a scam that used the power of the government to manipulate President Donald Trump. They don’t want to lose control or power over the narrative. This looks like they’re panicking. Be on the lookout for other arms of state to begin pointing fingers at Elon. All media outlets will soon start to call him evil and racist, as well as any other insults they feel they have to offer.

This is alarming, especially when the government appears to be interceding. All of those of us concerned about freedom should be worried about this.

But here’s another thing: Elon Musk is a free speech absolutist. He knew he would be attacked. He did it anyway, knowing people would want to kill him. It speaks volumes about the man and his determination to make a difference. Hopefully, he’s able to stand firm against them. But seeing how he’s dealt with things in the past, he’s likely to stand in there and fight, if he’s able.

Democrats need to start flipping. They know they will crash and burn in the midterms. One of the main avenues for controlling information could be lost, as Trump’s White House did. If that happens, that’s a big blow for long-term freedom. However, the powers-that-be aren’t going to give up on it without a fight.
