Sarah Sanders Slams Dems and ‘Liberal Media’ in Wake of No Collusion Findings

“I think Democrats and the liberal media should be absolutely embarrassed by their behavior over the last 2 years”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders casually blasted Democrats and the “liberal media” early Monday morning.

A relaxed-looking Sanders spoke to reporters outside the White House regarding news that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation found that President Donald Trump did not collude with Russia, Sanders said Democrats and the media should be “embarrassed” by their behavior in the last two years.

“I think he did a good job by finishing. I think that it’s disgraceful the fact that it took 2 years,” Sanders said of Mueller. “I think it’s disgraceful that we had $25 million in taxpayer money to chase a witch hunt that never should have taken place in the first place.”

“I think Democrats and the liberal media should be absolutely embarrassed by their behavior over the last 2 years,” Sanders continued. “In their breathless reporting, and their hope…for the take-down of the president of the United States.”

Special Counsel Robert Mueller wrapped up his two year investigation into Russian election meddling on Friday.

Central to the investigation was whether or not Trump or his campaign colluded with Russia in an attempt to influence the 2106 election. According to Attorney General William Barr’s summary of the report, Mueller was unable to find evidence that Trump or his campaign engaged in such activities.

Trump celebrated the news on Sunday, claiming in a tweet that the report was a “complete exoneration.”

Despite the findings, Democrats have vowed to continue their own investigations of the president.
