GOP Leadership in the House has reacted strongly to the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago. GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy directs his ire at Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee, who ripped into the FBI in preparation for the raid.
McCarthy’s statement was straight to the point.

McCarthy’s tweet came hours after former President Donald Trump emailed supporters announcing the FBI was raiding his home in Mar-a-Lago. Trump was not present at the resort when the raid took place. This also follows Garland’s recent statements that he is serious about investigating Trump in connection to the Riot at the Capitol, January 6, 2021.
After the raid was made public, Republican members of Congress’ House Judiciary Committee spoke out strongly about and for the FBI. There are no signs that any member of either the Judiciary Committee, or the White House were made aware about the raid before Trump announced it.
You can only imagine how they would do it for an ex-President.

Each individual member had comments and suggestions.
Hunter Biden is free to skate while the DOJ plots to endanger lives of political enemies. This is un-American. @Jim_Jordan led Judiciary Committee hearings in January can’t come soon enough!

They prosecute former leaders and staff in third-world countries and banana republics. They are looking at us from below. It is a race for the bottom.

Currently, the Republicans are expected to win the House of Representatives during the November midterm elections.
This raid seems to have been sparked by classified documents which were taken from the White House and brought to Mar-a-Lago. National Archives has been trying for several months to return those documents to the White House. It is not clear if there was any connection between raid and Jan. 6, investigation by separate House committees and Justice Department.
