The left has tried every trick in their “global warming” bible to convince the majority of Americans that climate change is not only real, but it’s also urgent. Or as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate [ROFL emoji] John Kerry and oTher “climate change” loons love to say, with great drama: the Existential danger to mankind
Considering that “existential” refers to Existence The reason is that it very existenceOder The end of the world of mankind), climate change loons like world-renowned climatologist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — who has literally said, “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change” — continue to run around frantically, tilting at windmills [pun intended]These are not possible.
The question is, how’s all of that hyperbolic hysteria working out? Answer: it isn’t.
Furthermore, John Perazo (and David Horowitz) observed that the aforementioned phenomena are also happening.Frontpage Mag Title of column Fighting the War on Fossil Fuels America’s taxpayers are being screwed in the process. But first, let’s check in with a few polls to see how well the Democrats’ climate change/green new deal scheme is playing out.
Horrowitz, Perazo and others noted that 2022’s midterms are quickly approaching. New York Times/Siena College poll found that just one percent of registered voters view climate change as a “top priority” — far from the “existential threat” hysteria of the left.
“Top priorities” identified were inflation concerns, the economy as a whole, record and ever-worsening crime rates, and the humanitarian crisis purposely created by the Biden Border Crisis™. The number of environmental policy-minded voters under 30 was only three percent.
Climate change was ranked number one in a Pew Research Center summer-of 2020 poll 11th in a list of registered voters’ top concerns, well behind the economy, terrorism, national security, the COVID-19 pandemic, health care, education, race relations, gun policy, crime, abortion, and immigration.
And in September 2020, a Gallup poll also found that climate change ranked 11th in a list of registered voters’ top concerns – again, well behind the same items listed in the Pew poll.
Clearly, the Democrats’ scare tactics have failed miserably. But, still? But, the war against fossil fuels does not stop.

So obsessive is the focus of Democrat leaders on the alleged “existential threat of climate change,” that a centerpiece of their policies to oppose it is a war on fossil fuels, beginning with the canceling of the Keystone pipeline, the shutting down of the ANWR oil field in Alaska, and the refusal for more than 17 months to sell oil-and-gas drilling leases on federal lands.
A consensus economic group that includes influential voices such as Larry Summers (ex-Obama Treasury Secretary) has identified the war against fossil fuels to be the main driver of the rise in gas prices as well as record levels of inflation.
Despite this lack of support and the direct negative effects of anti-climate changes policies on the public, the radical leadership at the Democrat is determined to pursue them.
According to Bernie Sanders, a lifetime supporter of communist dictators and bankrupt socialist regimes, “the climate crisis is not only the single greatest challenge facing our country,” but “is also our single greatest opportunity to build a more just and equitable future,” by which he means a bankrupt, socialist dictatorship.
Horrowitz and Perazo go into great depth about the Democrats’ “Green New Deal,” announced in February 2019 by Democrat Senator Ed Markey and the aforementioned congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Interestingly, as noted by Horrowitz and Perazo, the ridiculous scheme was already supported by 600 leftist organizations, as well as 67 House Members and 11 U.S. Senators — all Democrats. It’s amazing.
Horrowitz and Perazo noted a variety of Green New Dealt fantasies.
[T]he U.S. economy to achieve “net zero greenhouse gas emissions” by the year 2030 and, in the words of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, to “transition off all nuclear and all fossil fuels as soon as possible.”
The Green New Deal would also mandate: (a) trillions of dollars in inflationary public expenditures on government-approved, energy-saving “upgrades” and “retrofits” of all existing homes and businesses in the United States, and (b) zero-carbon standards for all new building construction.
You might be wondering where the billions of dollars would come from. In addition to taxpayer subsidies to left-wing university institutions, noted the authors, the IRS has already granted tax-exempt status to a vast number of 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and charitable foundations that seek to permanently institutionalize the Green New Deal and its agendas — agendas that are never going to happen.
Bottom line:
While Joe Biden and AOC, John Kerry and Bernie Sanders continue their daring attempts to intimidate sensible Americans, poll after poll shows that a large majority of Americans don’t care.
Assuming that we did.
