Police in Canada Are Showing up at People’s Homes to Tell Them How to Protest – Opinion

I’m a grizzled veteran of the social media wars and I thought I had seen everything, until this video from Canada which both freaked me out and made me laugh. Canada, you have to stop throwing me curve balls every 10 hours, I’m getting too old for this #$%^.

Unless you have been Rip Van Winkle’ing, you have to know by now that Canada has started a revolution of peaceful protests and it is spreading all over the internet and the world. Here are just some of the latest stories we have covered here at RedState to bring you up to speed…

Well they need to resolve the issue, I’m not weighing in on the substance. I’m not getting into Canadian government policy.

However, the truth is, many Michigan workers are being affected by this. Some autos have been shut down or will be closed within days.

As such, I am on the front line with Canada’s ambassador and with the White House as well as our congressional delegation along with some Canadian Premiers. They need to resolve this matter. I don’t think people appreciated what an immediate economic impact this would have on Michigan, quite frankly, and so, they understand now, and now they go to resolve it.

So I’m encouraging the White House to work with the Canadian government. You can have your conversations however long it takes. However, you must stop this blockade. There are many hardworking people in an industry just recovering from full strength who will soon be without a job, or at the very least, need to go to unemployment.

She is just a peach and it’s such a shame she is not Governor of Georgia — but we all know Stacey Abrams is.

Gretchen and other progressives are concerned about the protest in the USA because of what is happening to our neighbour to the north. They have been trying to repress progressive policies. This new tactic was used by the Canadian government to try to suppress peaceful protests.

Cops will arrive at your residence and give you instructions on how to protest.

Officer Ingram: I have a card here and I’m (Officer) Ericka Ingram and this is just some information about peaceful protest, that’s all it is.

Resdient : OK so I saw something you liked on my Facebook page?

Officer Ingram: Not in a Facebook group.

Resident: Okay, you’ve decided to visit my home to share information regarding peaceful protests.

Officer Ingram:

This exchange lasts over 30 minutes. The amazing thing is that the two people remain polite for this long. The resident is calm and non-confrontational, even though she raises a few eyebrows. It is not clear how this resident did it. Even though the officer may be polite, it would not surprise me if the police showed up at most locations in the state to hand out flyers on protest methods after they read a post on Facebook.

Canada is not experiencing insurrection. Canadians are staging historic demonstrations, and doing so in the most peaceful manner possible. Do they block roads making it more difficult to travel? Yup. Yup. Yup. They are petitioning their government that quite frankly does not like what they are saying but can’t really argue with the manner in which they are saying it.

This is 180° from protests that took place in my country in 2020, when CNN’s state media had the nerve to put up a banner with a reporter saying that the protests were peaceful.

You cannot make this up… A CNN reporter is standing in front of a building engulfed in flames and CNN’s chyron reads:

This young officer might be very nice, but you must take a step back from the demands of your superiors and examine their overreach. It’s hard to believe that the Canadian Broadcast Company wouldn’t be recording the event 24/7 if there was rioting or a general disaster with the way the protestors behaved. Now we are in the third week and no tape is available.

So why are cops showing up on people’s doorsteps to inform people of how to protest?

Intimidation.

I hope that it doesn’t work.
