RedState last night reported that the Ontario government received an order by a judge to stop donations via GiveSendGo Canada to the Freedom Convoy. This was after GoFundMe had shut down the fundraiser that was meant to help this effort and forced donors to use another platform.

GiveSendGo is a Christian-based crowdfunding site that has made a surprising response. Instead of bowing to uncontrollable authorities, GiveSendGo is telling Canadian officials what it can do with the order.
This is important! Canada is completely uninformed about how funds are handled at GiveSendGo. Every campaign funded by GiveSendGo flows directly to its recipients, including The Freedom Convoy.

It is absurd to think that a Canadian order could criminalize donations to any site located in the United States. Although Ontario could pursue individual donors in their territory, that would be highly doubtful.
Of course, the practical aspects of this are even more detrimental to the government’s order. I highly doubt Ontario has the resources to forensically track every person who is donating to GiveSendGo, and you can bet the company isn’t going to give up that information voluntarily. The whole thing comes off as an ineffective and desperate effort to stop a growing movement. In my previous article on the order I stated that Ontario officials should physically remove truckers from the streets if they want to show some toughness.
Returning to GiveSendGo, standing up and saying they aren’t going to abide by the order nor will they stop divvying out donations to the truckers is unequivocally the right move. Companies must not submit to the dictates of tyrants. This is a matter of personal liberty. GiveSendGo’s future success will be a financial benefit, as it can raise its profile and attract more business.
Still, I don’t expect this to be the last word. This is the wildcard. It’s entirely possible that Joe Biden and his bureaucratic cronies get involved in an effort to target GiveSendGo. This could lead to more complications. I still believe that this fight is one the Freedom Convoy and its donors as well as GiveSendGo will win until the very end.
The Canadian government must be forced to resort to force in order to end the protests. If that’s a risk they want to take, politically or otherwise, make them take it. This order is not an option.
