Pastor Greg Laurie Offers Critical Reminder to Christians in Post-Roe America – Opinion

All across America, Pro-lifers celebrate the changing of the decisions that were made Roe V. WadeAnd Casey v. Planned ParenthoodThe law now makes abortion a state issue. While some states have banned abortions, others like Missouri have still implemented liberal laws.

The legal aspect of it aside, there is a cultural myth that the only people that approve of today’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization These are the ones on the religious left. As the pro-life movement is broad-based, it is widely believed to be a falsehood. For example, check out Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, they’re certainly an interesting group.

In a post-Roe America, Christians still have an obligation to mothers in distress.

“#SCOTUSRoe V Wade has been overturned. Even though we can not bring back the lives that we lost, this is a huge injustice. Countless lives have been saved by this decision,” Harvest Christian Fellowship Pastor Greg Laurie tweeted.

“Thank God!  Now more than ever before, the church must prioritize caring for mothers and children,” he added.

The last line to Laurie’s tweet is so important because of the emphasis Christianity puts on goodwill toward others and caring for families. Christians can now donate or volunteer at their local pregnancy centre. You can also spread information about local pro-life resources to assist pregnant women or mothers with young children. If you have the chance, help pregnant women in crisis on an individual basis.

Back when Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion was leaked last month, I asked Twitter users to share resources nationwide and in their area, and there were hundreds of replies. This list can be searched for a local place or you could simply search the name of a nearby pregnancy center. Hannah Bernadette is a life advocate and has created a wonderful list, which can be accessed by clicking the link below.

The cornerstones of building America’s culture are love, peace, and grace towards expecting mothers in difficult circumstances. The Church plays a crucial role in helping women feel loved and supported.

Let’s be reminded of Jeremiah 1:5, in which God told Jeremiah that “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
