Minutes after polls closed in Virginia on Tuesday, MSNBC’s election night co-hosts made it clear that they were pessimistic about their chances as they instead continued to lie about gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, his voters, and Republicans writ large by calling them “dangerous” human beings “to our national security” Racists “in fleece”Peddling “lies”Information about Critical Race Theory (CRT).
ReidOutJoy Reid, Joy Reid’s host, was not surprising. Reid lied about Youngkin’s racist ban on Toni Morrison in schools five minutes before polls close. He also offered hope to Democrat Terry McAuliffe based upon the fear of Black voters. “would purge”E.W. Schools can get DuBois or Martin Luther King Jr.
Deadline: White HouseHost Nicolle Wall complained to Youngkin that Youngkin had not provided evidence. “put” Donald Trump’s “disgusting, flagrant out racism” “in a disguise” And “wrapped” His campaign “in two Big Lies”That he opposed January 6, Capitol Riot, and would prohibit critical race theory.
Wallace claims that Youngkin was supportive of January 6, according to Wallace “[Youngkin]Attended an Insurrection Flag [his] rally” (which wasn’t true and he condemned it) and banning CRT would be “like us banning ghosts”Seeing as what “there are no ghosts.”
“There isn’t critical race theory taught…[H]e’s given it a lie as a label and he said he’s going to ban it. There isn’t any critical race theory. It’s a legal theory not taught in public schools in Virginia,” Elle added.
Naturally, there is CRT. Is being completely taught in schools. And on the race front, Youngkin’s running mates are Black (Winsome SearsLatino (for lieutenant Governor)Jason MirayesThe Attorney General
Reid claimed Reid had returned to claim that schools would be exempted from Youngkin Republican Party. “teach[ing] the truth about Thomas Jefferson” or talking about slavery because they’re things that make “white parent[s] uncomfortable” These theories are deemed to be critical of race theory.
MSNBC’s racist host kept going: “He’s found a way to launder a pretty racist trope, this idea that we cannot talk about America’s history, because it hurts my feelings.”
Rachel Maddow, another MSNBCer, lamented that Youngkin and his associates had Fox News Channel help them create a story about CRT. “even though it’s not actually taught anywhere”You can even get it! “a real thing.”
A few minutes later, Reid and Wallace argued for the left to be even more dehumanizing in their descriptions of any and all political adversaries on the right (click “expand”):
WALLACE: The question for Democrats is going to almost Rumsefeldian, do you go on the campaign trail with the Republican Party you know you’ve got, that they lie, that they launder the Trump racism in — in — in fleece, that they have a propaganda network that reaches more candidate’s ads —
REID: That’s right.
WALLACE: — in any state election. You have to decide whether you accept this disinformation, propaganda, or barely disguised dog whistle and race talk, or continue fighting for policy.
REID: The problem with Democrats is that they desire to do the former. They seem to —
WALLACE – I am aware.
REID: — believe if they just do goo-goo good-government policy, that somehow people will understand that they are better for them. It’s better for you to be with us because we’re going to give you this policy, this policy, this policy while Republicans are fighting with a sledgehammer. The Republicans are using a blow torch, while the Democrats have a fork. They don’t understand.
Before MSNBC viewers were saved by Steve Kornacki delivering actual electoral returns to them, Reid launched a dangerous attack on how Democrats should react to this. “toxicity” of American politics that, as per MSNBC, is the fault of Republicans (click “expand”):
What do you know? Democrats must be open to saying what they have on their show. I believe we all have. They have to also be prepared to admit that Republicans are dangerous. This isn’t another party who disagrees with us about tax policy. They are dangerous at the moment.
Because they incite that type of white nationalist softness, it can eventually lead to hardcore things. Because if they are comfortable with it, and if it is tolerated in their party, then it leads to the January 6,th stuff.
