On Massive Spending Bill, CNN Hits Bernie Sanders Ally… From the Left!

It’s not easy to get to the left of socialist Bernie Sanders, but CNN managed to pull off that dubious feat on Wednesday morning.

You can find more information hereNeue DayBrianna Kailar was the host and interviewed Dem Rep. Ro Kanna. Khanna is a former co-chair of Sanders’s 2020 presidential campaign. She also serves as deputy whip for the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

It was about the apparent lowering of the $3.5 trillion spending bill by the Democrats. Keilar criticized the left for compromising, worrying about whether spending cuts of $1.75 to 1.9 trillion would be “enough”. Her most critical moment was when she suggested that women would suffer from spending cuts. Keilar:

“Let’s talk about women. We are all women. you’re looking at four weeks of paid leave in the context of maternity leave instead of 12 weeksThis is when a mother returns to work in less than one month after giving birth. A tiny baby at home. Better than nothing, I’m sure you would say. However Is this really going to help the middle-class and poor women who are really suffering from this pandemic?

“And what about the child tax credit?” You are implying that it is being reduced and will be rescinded after an additional year. How is it that parents, and especially women are not paying the price?

Keilar also was concerned that the bill had enough money to cover expenses. “Environmental disaster”

Khanna thanked her for being there to talk. “This incredibly important piece legislation”

Khanna was a surprise to many, and made a revelation about the Democrat strategy. In essence, he acknowledged that it was absurd to reduce the cost of the bill through limiting certain program durations.

Khanna has said this twice. Republicans will have a difficult time repealing it once they’ve got it.Khanna may be right, unfortunately. Ronald Reagan stated it in 1964. “a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.”

CNN hitting Sanders surrogate Ro Khanna from the left was sponsored in part by Kia, Liberty Mutual, Facebook, Abbott, and Best Western.

BRIANNA KEILAR – Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna from California is here now. He serves as the House Progressive Caucus’ deputy whip.

. .

Also, $1.75 trillion to $1.9 Trillion Reduced from $3.5 trillion Are you satisfied?

. .

It is now possible to get a community college for free. That was not mentioned. This is out. These are the contours of an agreement that reduces paid family leave to just four weeks instead of 12 weeks. Universal pre-k is available for 3- and 4-year olds, as you have mentioned. This is exactly what you requested. There are no climate-change provisions. Is this something you’re settling for?

. .

Let’s talk about women. We are all women. you’re looking at four weeks of paid leave, in the context of maternity leave, instead of 12 weeksThis is when a mother returns to work in less than one month after giving birth. A tiny baby at home. Better than nothing, I’m sure you would say. However Are women of middle and low income really getting any relief from the effects of the pandemic?

. .

Also You are familiar with the child credit If you are seeing this being reduced,It’s unlikely that it will be extended for more than one year. How is it possible that parents, and especially women, are not paying for these cuts?

. .

You need to make sure that Joe Manchin is realistically able to sign up for this, and that it delivers. This is something you will be able to genuinely state, “hey, this is a huge step towards.”Are you able to ward off any environmental catastrophe?

. .

It’s all right. Thank you, Congressman. This is an extremely important piece of legislation.
