Oh, What Has Ilhan Omar Said Now? The Nets Don’t Care

Ilhan Omar, a radical congresswoman is back at it. On Sunday, the Democrat called America hypocritical about how it treats Ukrainian refugees vs. Central American countries such as Syria and Central America. She also appeared way out of step with most Republicans and Democrats, decrying “disastrous” military aide to Ukraine.

But on the networks? They ignore any potentially offensive comments made by the hard-left Democrat and take it as a cricket. However, this has been a consistent pattern across ABC, CBS and NBC.  Omar’s past hateful, bigoted and anti-Semitic comments get buried by the same journalists who initially promoted her.

On Sunday, while talking to Ali Velshi on MSNBC, Omar used the war in Ukraine to complain the U.S. isn’t doing enough elsewhere.

We must change our language and our rhetoric as well as our policies regarding refugees. For Ukrainians, the United States will now grant temporary protection status for up to 18 months. We are also going to hopefully lift the refugeequota so we can allow in Ukrainian refugees. It is my hope that our rhetoric about Syrians and people from Afghanistan and South and Central America will change. It is true that there are many countries such as Yemen and Ethiopia currently in crisis, but we don’t see the compassion or care being shown to those who have also been affected by these devastations.

Her opposition for Ukrainian military support was tweeted on Tuesday

This puts her out of step with — not just Democrats — but the American people. 72% of Americans support arming Ukraine. As Mediaite’s Jackson Richman pointed out, she said the same thing last month.

Omar sent out anti-Semitic tweets in June 2021 comparing the U.S. to Hamas, and Israel with the Taliban. And in a now-deleted tweet from 2012, Omar spewed this hate: “Israel has hypnotized the world. May Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

Old Navy sponsored ABC’s decision to ignore Omar’s latest. It was Progressive Insurance on CBS. It was Uber on NBC. To let them know your thoughts, click the links.
