Democrats are suddenly discovering there’s a downside to Joe Biden allowing the border to be inundated by illegal aliens.
Reporter Muriel Bowser, Democratic Mayor, complained that Washington, D.C.’s homeless shelters were overwhelmed by illegal immigrants asylum seekers from Texas and Arizona. Then she tried to say that some people were tricked into taking the bus to D.C.

Does she mean that they would need to trick people to visit her city?
It’s humorous that she’s complaining about having to deal with the temporary and limited problem that she’s acquired from this. She has no concern or understanding about the burden that other cities, particularly those in Texas and Arizona, have had to deal with for months under Joe Biden’s horrible policies.
But it’s not just the D.C. mayor who has suddenly discovered the adverse effect of Democratic policies.
Eric Adams, New York City’s Democratic Mayor, is now complaining and requesting federal assistance.
“Currently, New York City is experiencing a marked increase in the number of asylum seekers who are arriving from Latin America and other regions. In some instances, families are arriving on buses sent by the Texas and Arizona governments, while in other cases, it appears that individuals are being sent by the federal government,” Adams said in a statement, adding that more than 2,800 asylum seekers had entered the shelter system in recent weeks.
Both the Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey denied Adams’ claim, saying in separate statements that they were in fact sending asylum seekers to Washington – but not to New York City.
This is the response from the governors. It shows how ignorant the Democrats in New York are.
“If they need financial help, they should ask for it instead of heartlessly sending asylum seekers on their way with a one-way ticket,” the spokesperson said of the governors. “In New York City, we have a legal and moral mandate to provide shelter to everyone who needs it, and will continue to fulfill that mandate, but, as we have said, we urgently need federal support to help us do so.”
Is that what they are referring to? Texas and Arizona have been screaming for help ever since Joe Biden came in and if you want to talk about heartlessness, talk about Biden’s response to them. Their response has been ineffective. Plus, maybe New Yorkers should be directing their anger at the person who is sending the people to them — that’s Joe Biden.
According to the New York City Department of Homeless Services, there were 28,885 individuals classed as a member of a “family with children” in the shelter system as of Sunday. That’s about 12% higher than the daily average in March, the last month for which such data are available, and also about 12% higher than this time last year.
Adams said the city “needs additional federal resources immediately” and that it may struggle to provide basic services if they’re not received.
Now that they are getting some sense of what Texas and Arizona have to go through, they’re begging for help. But it’s Biden to blame and he will likely leave them high and dry too. Make them realize how ineffective his policies are.
