The first trial of John Durham, special counsel in the investigation into Russian collusion was ignored by networks ….until Michael Sussmann, the charged Hillary Clinton lawyer was found not guilty. Then ABC and CBS pounced, and it was a “stinging defeat” and “major blow” for Durham! You wonder if the CBS and ABC would have covered a Guilty verdict.
Media consider Durham the anti-Mueller. Bill Barr appointed him to examine the Russiagate scandal, which set off the Mueller investigation. As if Robert Mueller were CNN’s Superman. Time He was likened to Eliot Ness. Durham then became Lex Luthor or Al Capone.
NPR, PBS and PBS dismissed the investigation as nothing “shady” or dodgy. The probe revealed that conservative media were running “debunked theories” of Trump’s computer spying and snooping.
It Washington Post The verdict was quoted in the story as Sussmann’s lawyer saying that “the prosecution was trying turn a short 30-minute meeting over five years ago into an enormous political conspiracy theory.” Are you serious? This doesn’t sound right.
