Joe Biden’s brain was not doing well on Tuesday.
The Coast Guard changing ceremony of the guard saw his brain seem to have dissolved.
Biden then omitted to name his Health and Human Services secretary during an event later about the shortage of baby formula.

The White House transcript fails to note the failed attempt to say Xavier Becerra’s name.
Biden also didn’t seem to understand how much formula was being delivered in the latest batch that was being flown in, saying “3.7 bottles” were being flown in, when it was 3.7 million.

But as we noted, the Biden team can’t seem to get their story straight on what they knew about the baby formula situation and when. Biden claimed he discovered the information in April. Jen Psaki, then White House Press Secretary, and Karine Jean Pierre, the former Deputy Press Secretary, said that the White House learned the truth in February, when Abbott was shut down by the FDA over formula questions. Meanwhile, Becerra says he’s known since last year.

Unfortunately, Biden’s people don’t seem any more competent than Biden is.
The bottom line: They didn’t do anything to address the problem that’s been out there for months until the parents made enough a stink about it to the media this past month, even though the FDA shut down of Abbott made the situation worse so they should have known there was going to be a problem. Even though it was brought to a halt by the Abbott shutdown, the problem continues.
Even CNN’s Jake Tapper was mystified by what they had been doing and why they didn’t inform Biden earlier as he spoke to NEC Director Brian Deese.
CNN’S JAKE TAPPER: “Karine Jean-Pierre, your press secretary, just said this has been a whole of government approach. That doesn’t include the president?”

Tapper is a good job at laying out the complicated timeline, which took them so much longer than they should have, but is not as quick as the Biden team claimed.
CNN doesn’t buy Bidens excuses about the shortage of baby formula.
“I don’t need the FDA to investigate itself to come to the judgment that they did not act quickly enough, and on behalf of all of the frustrated moms and dads and guardians out there, I hope you don’t either.” pic.twitter.com/0GXkPIEUbJ

Deese dared to say that they were going to “investigate” what happened in the timeline of events. Tapper responded, “I don’t need the FDA to investigate itself to come to the judgment that they did not act quickly enough, and on behalf of all of the frustrated moms and dads and guardians out there, I hope you don’t either.”
If there is one moment that really encapsulates the failures of the Biden administration on this and other matters, it’s this moment. Brian Deese attempts to claim that they take this matter seriously. The camera suddenly switched over, as if reality had come and hit them. Tapper’s reaction was something else.

It says it all.
